I had their oyster mushroom bao this morning for brunch. I visited their stand at "Smorgesbord". They basically have four items on the menu including these wonderful vegan bao. The mushrooms are deep fried, crispy and have a hint of hoisin sauce. Overall, delicious and highly recommend.
I was looking for a quick vegan stop and found Maneatingplant. It doesn't look like much, but their food is REALLY tasty. I got the Fried Shroom Bao and it was SO good. The Bao was so light and fluffy and the sauce they put on there was unbelievable. The shrooms were great and very nicely fried. The staff were very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend checking this place out and can't wait to try more of their food!

The shrooms buns are fire. We tried the BBQ mushroom buns & the garlic noodles as well. As someone who tried a lot of vegan food (Asian & otherwise) these noodles were one of the best I’ve ever had.The only issue was all the prices are on the higher end. $16 for 2 buns & $16 for the noodles for a location where there is no seating, take out only (plus option to tip!?… when there is no service).
