I came to Cafe Mak during the week and had brunch. It was the perfect time because the restaurant was not packed with people. I had ordered the kimchi carbonara. It was my first time trying it and it was super tasty. I was afraid that the kimchi was going to overpower the dish but it didn't- they found a right balance to marry the sauces. It was given with a side of garlic bread. Additionally, I had ordered onion rings and chicken tenders. Each table has a button that's placed that you can push to have your waiter attend to you. Very smart. This a great place to come to if you want a change of scenery from working from home. They offer great drinks, food and deserts. They have free wifi and have an abundance of tables to sit and do your work.

"I have been a regular customer at this place for years now, but it seems like their customer service has been deteriorating lately. Today, while I was sitting outside, the cashier came and took away my mug while I still had my pot full of tea. She didn't say anything, so I let her know that I was still drinking my tea. She then mentioned that they switch to paper cups after 8 PM, which is understandable, but I didn't appreciate her simply taking my cup without telling me. It felt quite rude."

Beautiful space - indoor and out - with great food. We went during the day and it was empty, great place to eat, work, read.

Absolutely disgusting experience. I have come in multiple times and never been followed out due to a server not following up on my order. I have spent hundreds of dollars in their establishment over the years and have always felt a hint of discrimination. I have never seen them treat other patrons like this. My analysis is based off of hundreds of hours and dollars spent at their establishment. Here were the series of events today:1. I sat down and opened my computer and was abruptly greeted by my server asking if I was ready to order.2. I then told him I just sat down and I would take a look at the menu.3. He then dropped off water as he saw me open up my menu to order.4. I waited almost 30 minutes with no follow up on the servers end or reminder to place an order.5. I was followed out the restaurant by my server WHICH I HAVE NEVER HAD DONE BEFORE AS A PERSON OF COLOR!If customers need to order a simple follow up asking “are you ready to order” is the only thing that is necessary. Following customers outside to “scold” them on something that is your job is not necessary. If you are a person of color BEWARE. Absolutely disgusting experience and they should ashamed of themselves.

Today was my first time visiting and I was very impressed. It's not fancy. It's cozy and peaceful. A little soft music in the background and warm lighting. Came alone, but I plan to return with friends in the future. I recommend it. ?

Love coming here to write, such a cozy and nice vibe. But it’s so expensive here! I got a coffee and fried and it was almost $20 with the included tip!I’d recommend to anyone that’s able to afford it. It’s an expectation to order something and to not bring in your own food either, otherwise they’ll charge you $5

Love this place! So much space and a parking lot! The interior has so many separate seating areas that give the space a cozy feel. Lots of people studying/working here, but also great hangout place. Didn’t love the Pat Bing Su (a weird combination of toppings), but overall still love this place.

ideal to study, write, or shoot emails from. Interior “library” is charming and cozy, especially compared to all the sterile coffee shops that have taken over LA. The chicken pesto sandwich I ordered was good. Drinks are pricey unless you add it to a combo, but the price is definitely to cover your stay.

The only thing that p*$$es me off about this place is ...every single time one of the female servers drops a drink at my table ...I always say "Thank you" ...they NEVER.....EVER...say "You're welcome. I know it's a small criticism ...and I shouldn't care but it irks me so badly. I just learned manners from a young age...and have been in service for a long time myself and I was always so grateful anytime someone would say THANK YOU.Maybe you can say it's a cultural difference but that's no excuse...you have to be hands on with your staff and teach them manners 101 ...it's the only thing that matters. Other than the Wifi being spotty in some areas....every once in a while completely dropping out altogether. I do like the place besides the fact that the FEMALE (not the male servers) look the other way from me when they drop off my drinks (been happening for months as I come here weekly). They won't look at me...they drop the drink off rudely and RUN as fast as they can away lol. I always say "Thank you" and have yet to get a nice smile and a "You're welcome".Like that you all are open late...LOVE that there are outlets everywhere...American coffee shops need to take note of this. It brings in more MONEY ...but for whatever reason...only the Koreans understand this. Other than the rude dropping my drink off rudely running away and not saying YOU'RE WELCOME (MANNERS 101 YOU ARE IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY LIKE YOU HAVE TO TRAIN PPL OR THEY WON'T DO IT)....I love this place. ONE STAR.Isn't it funny manners...and kindness is the only thing that really matters to ppl.

Best service I've experienced. I once came here and forgot my charger, so they charged my phone for me and kept it safe while I enjoyed my drinks and food.
