They need a new head chef! Menu selection is great, the execution however is mid at best. If you have a DINNER club and are requiring people to purchase DINNER ...make sure it's better than Denny's or Applebee's. I love live music and appreciate the venue. Elevate your food!

I was on the guest list so I can’t speak to the cover charge which was expensive. Catalina‘s is a mixed bag like most LA jazz clubs. Some of what they have actually is Jazz, some of it is not but if the people you like are playing there and you have some extra cash it’s probably worth it. The seating is comfortable and there are good site lines and it has a decent sound system. It is not at all cheap and the food is not worth what they charge but that’s the case for...

We saw a good show there. Good was average, service was average. Be extra cautious with the bill. We were charged for a drink we didn’t receive and that added a 18% gratuity even though we were just two. Then received the final bill with a space to add a tip AGAIN. Be extra careful.
