a couple weeks ago i visited Chado because my daughter told me I should try loose leaf tea instead of the bags I always use. a guy there recommended me a green tea with jasmine that smelled just beautiful. I left with a small bag of that one and also a black tea with vanilla notes he said would go good with milk. both were delicious.
Had a lovely Mother's Day tea here, but I think more staff on a busy holiday would benefit them. It seemed like their staff were swamped managing so many tables with limited support, so that created a delay in service. Staff were very polite and kind and the food was great.
One of our favorite spots! The tea is lovely, the service is exceptional, and the food is always tasty. Tea service is a good value with a couple of price points to choose from. Overall, it's a great location for a celebration or resting your feet while enjoying the museums and historic Little Tokyo area.
