Really nice people work here, came here for chicken and broccoli but wouldn't recommend it. The Boba milk tea was good though
Food is pretty good. Pad see ew lunch plate is a big portion. Staff is so nice💗
I felt so compelled to write a review for this restaurant because it was so dang good! I went here during my lunch and ordered spicy pad Thai with chicken (not fried chicken). I asked if the noodles were rice based (as I have a gluten allergy). They triple checked just to make sure. I really appreciate that they were very careful before starting my order.

Chicken Kai is a restaurant in East LA that serves Thai food and fried chicken meals. Many people are pleasantly surprised to find that it is a Thai restaurant that also serves fried chicken. The food is fresh, cooked right as ordered, and comes out warm. The prices are reasonable. One order of pad Thai was enough for two people. The spice levels are not high, so customers can ask for it to be spicier if they want a kick. The wings were out of this world, just like everything else. The chicken and vegan dishes were yummy. The Thai flavors were spot on. The original Thailand Fried Chicken was soo good, especially the marinade sauce and the hot sauce thai style. The pad thai with fried chicken and spicy chicken over rice were delicious. The service is kind and welcoming. The staff is very careful and triple checked about a gluten allergy. They also offer catering for large orders, with food delivered to the job site on time. There are two tables to eat indoors. It takes a few minutes to receive an order in person, so placing an order via phone is recommended. The mango sticky rice and boba teas are also mentioned.
