Love their crab fried rice and soup dumplings. Stir fry vegetable is on the sweet side, but they do have pea leaves, which is hard to find most time of the year.

We tried pepper beef (very tender, a little spicy), chicken in three cup sauce (very tender), oxtail soup, chicken noodle soup (some pieces of chicken were a little tough), chicken dumplings in chili oil (spicy), baby bok choy, green beans, and egg fried rice.

Everything was delicious! Will definitely order from here again.

Great spot for apps and full meals. I love the crispy dumplings and the scallion pancakes, you have to try them if you never have. The soup dumpling are out of this world and you can taste the handmade freshness of everything on the menu.

I had a quick business lunch with a client here, they recommended and ’m so glad they did. The scallion pancake is out of this world, and the soup dumplings make me regret not having tried them earlier. If you’ve never been here before you have to come. It’s some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in Los Angeles.

They will make you wait for your food for a looooong time. They had some other orders ready right by the door getting cold while making others wait for their order. Pretty bad organization. I waited for like 30 minutes for my food.

Dan modern Chinese was a pleasant surprise as the person who brought me told me it was better then din tai fung. It was not as good but the food was solid, the dumplings were great and so was the salt and pepper beef. Would come here with a date or a friend for a casual meal.

I love their short rib Dan Mein, spicy pork Xiao Long Bao and garlic green beans so much that it’s all I ordered for awhile. Then I brought more people and we finally branched out and tried more stuff. Great place, nice vibe , simple menu
