It was a little busier but not what I expected for a father's day brunch, we were late for the rush of that. But we seemed like we were inconviencing the bartender by ordering food which he forgot to put in but comped a drink of each of us because of it. I ordered the Caesar Salad because of the chili croutons which it did not have but the chips and salsa are fantastic and the drinks were good.
The reason i give this 5 starts is due to the exceptional service we got from Veronica.
The food is great, ambiance is great however Veronica brought it all together. She was attentive, calm, patient, and knowledgeable.
Very often I come across waiters that are irritated, annoyed, unpassionate, and careless.
Veronica was the complete opposite, literally a service worth remembering. She made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Took the fam to the Tar Pits park and planned to eat at The Counter, which apparently has closed permanently.
Descanso swooped right in and charmed my kids with pipe cleaner laden kids menus and some really delicious offerings -- including my steak bowl and wife's octopus salad. Kiddos were happy with hot dogs, Nutella wraps and rice & beans. Thanks for salvaging our Memorial Day.
