People here are very friendly, pupusas are big and delicious,
Best sopa de res ever! And pupusas was delicious with curtido. There no better place to eat a Salvadoran food . Also the price was lower than I expected.
I love this little but great restaurant, pupusas and seafood are delicious in general al dishes they serve are rich in flavors, I saw many people complained about the old lady the owner,That depends on how the customers treat each other or how they spoke to her. Both she and the people who work with her are very kind and helpful. I have known that restaurant forever and I still like the food like the first time I went to eat there.

Based on the reviews, El Chalateco is a little but great restaurant for Salvadoran food. The pupusas are made fresh, big, and stuffed to the brim, and the seafood is delicious. The mojarra frita is perfectly fried and seasoned, with big portions and pupusas on the side. The food has been pretty good and is a family favorite, rich in flavors. The owner and workers are very kind and helpful. The spot is super unassuming from the outside, quiet on a Thursday afternoon, and perfect to catch up with a friend. It is cash only.
