Got food poisoning from the place.

First off, this isn’t authentic Vietnamese food. I can tell the team is trying, and I respect the effort, but what’s being served here feels like a Westernized version meant to be approachable rather than true to its roots. It’s the kind of place where people feel like they’re experiencing Vietnamese culture without actually tasting the depth of it.

Real Vietnamese food has layers of flavor, history, and care that you’ll find in places like Westminster. That’s where the dishes carry stories, not just spices. This restaurant feels more like a Vietnamese-inspired concept built for presentation rather than tradition.

I ordered the vegan options to play it safe since I’m Vietnamese and wanted to give it a fair chance. The clay pot coconut curry was done well. It had warmth and comfort, even if the flavor profile was simplified.

What left a stronger impression, though, was the service. It felt as if being vegan and double-checking ingredients was an inconvenience. There wasn’t much patience or understanding, which made the experience feel less welcoming.

Overall, it’s not bad, but it’s not the real thing either. It’s a modern take that might please newcomers, but for those of us who grew up with these flavors, it feels like something important got lost in translation.

I came to try the chicken pho and it wasn’t great. The shredded chicken was so soggy/broken to the point were it was just tiny pieces the broth tasted more like water the condiments did not help :(

This place has been here for years. It's a Vietnamese fusion restaurant.
The owner is a sweetheart.
The food is wonderful. I had the rib eye sandwich and chicken crispy rolls.
The steak was marinated in this amazing sauce, and the baguettes are toasted.

With garnish of ginger, cilantro, and jalapeños (fresh).
Had the fruit drinks which are made fresh to order.
I recommend this place!
I will eat there again.

I came here for some phô with friends figuring I would find something on the menu, being LA. Turns out they have a whole vegan menu! The phô was great and I saw that they had bahn mi and knew that I'd have to come back. I did and will come back again too. Everything I had was great. Bahn mi was spicy and came with great taro fries. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-13

Seating is a little close but it has a nice cozy vibe and the salmon plate was delicious, had a lot of flavor and a good serving size.

Infamously bad food that most locals shun. not sure why this place is still open except to serve the gentrified crowds of silver lake who don’t know better. I feel bad saying this because it’s a cute spot with friendly service but that cant make up for a watery pho and bland mains! Bahn mi is probably your best option.
