During the World Cup we checked out some German beer gardens, and somehow over saw this one, possibly the only heart-driven authentic German one.
The most we have seen so far, it was more a "business plan" let's do what Americans may think a German beer garden looks like.
Our friend, the LA promoter Vahe, took us yesterday. We found a little gem, grown over the years, with an actual German owner and a service that had more than basic knowledge of German food. Nice!

Always great service and a chill vibe. Great selection of beer to please all taste.

The Red Lion Tavern offers a fun and authentic German dining experience. They serve a variety of German dishes, including an excellent sauerbraten, chicken schnitzel, and pretzels, all complemented by a selection of beers. The outdoor patio is a delightful spot, especially on warm days, and has hosted events like luncheons with delicious sausages, sauerkraut, cheeses, red cabbage, crispy potato pancakes, and pretzels for guests to enjoy. The overall atmosphere remains enjoyable, and the owner brings a cheerful vibe that makes guests feel welcome. Parking is available in a small free lot next to the restaurant, with additional free street parking nearby.
Customers recommend ordering the pretzels and the schnitzel, which is amazing. The spaetzle is different from what they are used to and is recommended with a side of gravy. The atmosphere on the rooftop patio is fantastic, although the waitress was busy. The bathrooms could use some improvement. Downstairs, there is live music and a classic bar, while upstairs and outside, there is dining. Customers tried the signature chicken strips and curry wurst, which were decent, and the beer of the month, which was incredibly smooth and light.
