“Every time we visit LA we have come to the Edmond for years. They recently changed their license and unfortunately we didn’t find out until our friend came with her 18 yr. old daughter and we sat down and she had water and was carded and asked to leave. It is now 21 and over, so no more family meals here. It’s unfortunate, but true. Please Post a sign for those that have been coming for years and don’t check the website.“

“I went to this brewery after work and met the love of my life! Jk jk but I had a really great time and the beer was very good. I’m not usually a beer drinker but I had two beers and they were very flavorful. The bathrooms were immaculate clean which I loved. The vibe was casual but also some people there for happy hour after work. I would go again!“

“If you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere, a variety of beer options, and some good food; I recommend going here. There are a lot of tvs throughout, playing different sport games. You definitely get to see the eclectic nature of the koreatown community. The staff also reflects a relaxed attitude but they're also attentive when it comes to refills or new orders. I'm not a fan of their cocktails, but some food suggestions are their KFC, Kimchi Fried Rice Plate, and their wings! And then most people, I've gone with, enjoy the different beer options.“

“Plenty of outdoor patio seating, great German beer selection and an abundance of amazing food options. The Jaeger Schnitzel was outstanding with the wild mushroom gravy stealing the show. Loved the potato salad and sour kraut too. Not to be ignored, the Kaiser Schnitzel with the sun dried tomato cream sauce is a great option too. I would be remiss if I didn't sing the praises of the exotic meat sausage sampler plate...AMAZING!!!“

Creature Comforts Taproom and Brewery Brewery •
1124 San Julian St, Los Angeles

“It’s ironically a local brewery to where in life in Georgia, but this nice hipster style brewery with a good choice of beers (some exclusively only available in CA) and incredibly friendly staff…much better than the sports driven bars nearer to the Crypto. I believe it’s only recently opened, so I wish them all the best….I just wished I discovered it last week when I arrived and not on my last day in LA.“

“I'm giving a full five stars because it's genuinely what it claims to be: a tavern. This is not a national chain of tavern replicas. It's the real thing. Wirtshaus Roter Löwe would be a more accurate name. The menu and beer selection is exclusively German. The food was okay. It would not be my first choice for a fine German meal. But it's a tavern, so I'm okay with the three entries we were served. They had 10 German beers on tap in a broad range of styles, including the excellent Hofbräu Delicator, which I had never previously had the opportunity to try. There's upper and lower seating. The lower area is the better choice for a tavern atmosphere. The furnishings are solid, comfortable and well worn. The single bartender/waitress in the lower area was overworked, but still friendly. The restroom needed cleaning and the carpets are worn, but it's a tavern. If you're looking for the real thing and not a sanitized replica, this is a solid choice.“

Resident Cocktail Bar • $$
428 S Hewitt St, Los Angeles

“The structure of this place fulfills my ideals for a performance venue. There is equal indoor and outdoor space, tons of seating, multiple spots to purchase food or drinks, multiple bathrooms. People outside can hear the music happening inside. Fire pits! The entire length of the indoor space can see the stage and whats happening. I have gone for several different kinds of events and always enjoyed the venue.“

“This venue is great from the moment you walk in to the staff at the bar.I had the pleasure of going to the CapiCua event and this is where it was hosted on Sunday. The security team here is professional and the bar tenders and workers do a phenomenal job keeping everything in order while everyone is enjoying themselves in the venue. The only struggle this establishment has which isn’t their fault is location. I don’t recommend parking too far or driving to the venue at all if you aren’t aware of how that section of LA works.None the less a great venue and great people! I can see many successful nights happening over and over due to the management team at this location.“

“I went there for a social event. The server was very professional. She asked what I wanted, and I told her what I normally get for a burger. Even though couldn't accommodate everything, what she did accommodate, she got right. The burger comes with blue cheese, and she had the cooks put on American cheese, which she correctly assumed I would want. As far as the event itself went, I had a blast. I played three different games and made four new friends. If there is ever another event here on a day I'm off work, I will absolutely come back.“
