Golden Lake Eatery Reviews
So good. Went with a friend and we split three entrees for around $40. The Thai tea was excellent. The woman behind the counter was so sweet and let us know about deals they had.
I should have gotten one hundred more custard buns.
Definitely going to need to try this again in person to get a true final verdict. Overall our DoorDash earlier this month was solid but not what I was expecting. We ordered a beef crispy noodle and the garlic chicken along with a spicy beef wrap. Not sure if they mixed our order up because the wrap was solid almost an eggroll burrito but it wasn't spicy even with the included sauce so perhaps I got the regular one. Garbage. I thought it could maybe be good- crappy chinese food but FIRST the crab cheese wontons had NO crab/ fake crab. It was literally only sweet cheese filling. The cabbage was too old to eat in the fried noodles. It was not cheap but the food was bad quality & portions were absurdly small for the price. Golden Lake Eatery offers a very large menu with lots of free parking, though the parking lot can be hard to spot initially. The restaurant has outdoor seating and is open late, making it a great spot for late-night eating. Customers enjoy a good amount of seating both outside and inside. While the menu is solid despite new ownership, there have been mixed experiences regarding service. Many customers report that the food is super yummy, highlighting a good variety of dim sum and noodles at reasonable prices. One customer specifically mentioned the Chinese Hot Oil Dry, which featured lots of rice, chicken, and pork, and had a unique flavor for only $13.99. Overall, Golden Lake Eatery is a reliable dining option with nice workers, though it's important to note that some guests have experienced dismissive service.
