“First timer here and was so impressed by the flavor, prices, quality, and service from employees. We underestimated the size of this place and a party of 6 felt too big for their location. But, they made so much space for us by combining two tables. It felt like I was transported to someone's house and was visiting my grandma (even though im not Vietnamese lol). My favorite were the pho and stiry fry noodles with gravy. I am definitely coming back. Thank you for your hospitality.“

“Really tasty food and big portions!! We definitely ordered more than we could finish between 2 people.
The beef spring rolls were like a burrito size! Also ordered street corn, chicken sando and rice noodle bowl. All large portions for what you pay! Hard to pick a fave but I’d say chicken sando“

“Tasty Banh Mis. I always get the sardine along with either the pork or chicken. All made fresh to order. They include a small au jus of the specific Banh Mi you order-nice touch. ? Parking is a challenge since it right on Hyperion so if you see a spot, take it.“
“I rarely post reviews, but here, I really like this place. Given the cost of goods and services, not to mention the cost of the building, and everyone they have to hire, I suppose the price wasn't too bad, but definitely high. The service was great, very personable girl waited on us, drinks were good, the food was excellent by my taste. It's way up top, open air, and it was breezy and cold. they have outdoor heating, but I think they need to rethink that part. We'll back for sure!“

“Bae and I had a music industry function in the hills behind this stretch of street. I saw this place was newish and had amazing reviews. The spot is a little hard to find which is OK but unusual for this relatively dowdy stretch of neighborhood where the raining cuisine is still, in 2024, red sauce italian(!) I love going to the Capri with friends during the holiday season but this was a wednesday night in July.
It was literally empty when we walked in and it made Bae nervous but I'd read the reviews so I reassured her. Like the name indicates it's a Vietnamese restaurant that serves food tapas style. So Bae loved it, I'm not a huge fan of tapas period, not even in the basque country or Spain, but this is still a great restaurant and deserves support! I would go back for sure if I was back here in the area, maybe before a vidiots movie.

“The food here is pretty good. We ordered Pho, sandwich, chicken egg rolls and vermicelli. Take awhile for the food to come out but it’s worth it. Chicken egg rolls are surprisingly taste very like pork egg rolls. Recommend this place if you want to try Vietnamese food in Little Tokyo.“

“Delicious papaya salad, lemon grass beef noodles and the rice rolls!! Freaking scrumptious! The chef at this restaurant is the BOMB! Whomever it is knows the art to cooking delicious meals. We promise to always keep you in business. Pleas stay the course during this nutty pandemic. We need food like Little Sisters to keep our souls alive! Ps- we miss their poppin music! And yes we are “down with the OPP and the BIG”“

“This is the best restaurant in all of Los Angeles. Yup. I said it. Firstly, yes it’s Vietnamese food, but with a homey, DELICIOUS spin, where they favor simple yet powerful flavors, SUPER fresh ingredients and don’t get overly complex with anything. It’s just perfect.I have tried most everything on the menu and have continuously come back for many many years. Ten years? When did you guys open? How old am I? What’s going on? All I know is, it tastes exactly the same and exactly as delicious all these many many years later!! I don’t know a single restaurant that has upheld that consistency while keeping things delicious over the years.Have a Vietnamese iced coffee with your pho & get the jackfruit mix for starters. Or the jicama chicken meatball. Or the fresh rolls. Ooo or get a bahn mi. Yeah I wasn’t kidding. I like everything on the menu!“

“Most consistent pho. I’ve been coming here for the last three years and I no longer seek pho anywhere else. The broth is bursting with flavor yet remains balanced. They don’t skimp on meat and its variety either. None of the rubbery meat slices, only good quality meat.
Other than pho, my tried and trues are the garlic noodles with shaken beef and the Korean short rib rice plate. Both *chef’s kiss* . All dishes I’ve tried have been nothing short of great.
Service is what you would expect, but as a regular, it’s great. I love the simplicity of the place. I always have a lovely time here, and so do the people I’ve introduced this place to.
I think I’ve had my weight in pho from this place alone. Tried many other popular spots and they fall subpar when it comes to consistency.“

“The best thing going on at this place definitely has to be the atmosphere! DiDi is just a really vibey place with dim lights and great decor. The food was good, too of course. All family style so definitely great for a group of four or more. I loved the fried shrimp, which was nicely fried, savory and sweet. For entrees, the garlic crab noodles and fried rice were really good too. The fish sauce chicken wings could’ve been better, though, as they were a bit salty. Oh, and definitely don’t skip on the veggies! They were nicely seasoned and fresh— an integral part of a meal that would’ve otherwise been only meat and carbs! Good place for a special event.“

“The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.“

“Make sure you order the right things. I frequent the Spring Rolls, sandwiches, and sparkling lemonade. I am heavily lactose intolerant and it’s nice to have so many safe options here. I realize most people go for Pho from a Vietnamese place but the sandwiches are my fav from here. Their pho isn’t bad but the sandwiches are where it’s at. That said I like small bites and this gives me plenty of add on options if I want them. Also if you are a beverage person they absolutely have you covered. For once a can of coke is priced right in LA ($2). I might not be someone who has a crazy good food palette but I appreciate food that makes me feel cozy and healthy. It feels like a lot of love is put into some of the dishes here. If that’s your thing this is a good place to try.

“Cool place for boba drinks. They make them promptly and the price is clearly posted. $5 for a Thai tea with boba includes taxes. We ordered six drinks and received them promptly. There is a sitting area to enjoy your drinks too.
A cup of Thai tea with boba and ice tastes great on a hot day.
They only accept cash.“

“The food was good. The only downside was that I only got one bag. "Condiments: bean sprouts, jalapeño, lime, basil, sriracha pocket, hoisin sauce." I had to quickly go to my nearest grocery store to buy them. Honestly, I don't know if the driver forgot them or the restaurant forgot to send them“

“Sister's cafe is a lovely place, where one can reliably get good food, no matter when you come. We've been going there for years now and have never been disappointed.
Staff is super friendly and the best of all, it's actually still affordable compared to the majority of places around LA.
They close a bit early, so I recommend to make sure to arrive no later than 8 pm. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious! Can't go wrong.
This is a perfect place to enjoy dinner out during the work week and not go broke while doing it.
One of my favorites is the curry hot pot with chicken!!
I highly recommend this place“

“It’s a simple pho restaurant with neat interior. The food was what I would expect from a pho place. Broth was good, Ingredients were fresh. Their Thai ice tea was also decent (- little watery but not too bad). There was a lot of room in the restaurant. Service wasn’t anything special… the server wasn’t mean but not nice either.I don’t know, it was good but nothing special…Parking is valet only $3. I might come back if I have a craving and it’s close by but nothing made me think that it was my new and only pho place.
Parking: $3 in 2023“

“Love their combination meal. It either comes with 1 spring roll or 2 egg rolls a bowl of brisket and rare steak pho, and a drink. For about $18 or so. You can add a Thai tea for an additional cost but definitely worth it. They also open at 9am which is convenient.“

“Every time I come here the food gets better. It’s definitely my favorite place for pho. Large portions, deep rich broth, and super flavorful chili paste made in house. I’m very happy to support this small family restaurant. This place or any of the popular pho chains to shame. I mostly go for take out, but they are very friendly if you want to hang.“

“My husband and I love this restaurant! We've ordered a couple times from Postmates and we have never been disappointed. I love the spicy lemongrass chicken and my husband loves the pork belly and the shaken beef. The shrimp and pork egg rolls are unlike any egg roll over ever had and so delicious. And don't get me started on the sparkling limeade. This place is such a gem. We'll be ordering from them forver.
Dietary restrictions: We have a peanut allergy and they are always careful to not include any nuts“

“It was a great experience, cause we fell in love with such tasty pho bo, and owner was so kind and paid attention to details. We moved from la, so we cannot visit as often as it was before, and we miss this opportunity so much . P.s. Russian couple who were always asking for vinegar.“

“Reliably delicious mainstay of mine. All of the soups are good, my fave are the wonton (with nice big pieces of shrimp and bokchoy!) and the veggie pho. The crab puff appetizer is addicting and the classics like banh mi and Vietnamese coffee are very well done. It's crazy how much flavor they get into the tofu on the tofu banh mi. Love this place!

“This was such a surprise, a true hole in the wall with amazing food. When we first walked in it looked very closed, but if you go down the hallway you'll come to a lovely, warmly lit room with some tables and friendly staff. The pho, the spring rolls and the bahn mi were all delicious! Best pho I've had in LA, and prices are very reasonable. Service was fast, although they had only 1 waitress, she was doing the most.“

“First review - absolute gem of a restaurant.
Clean, luminous, good service but especially fresh and delicious food.
Pho is made with love, and you can taste its heartiness. Special Banh Mi is delicious, fresh baguette bread, freshly pickled vegetables and deliciously marinated meats.
Even the teas are a delight!
A true diamond in the rough. I recommend to anyone that enjoys good Vietnamese food. Cheers“

“We were on our way to hop woo when we walked by the amazing patio here with lots of shaded seats. Very glad we stopped! Counter ordering with plastic 3D models of the food that's more common in Japanese restaurants here. We were pleasantly surprised to have our food delivered to us on ceramic plates with full silverware outside, unlike some of the nearby restaurants.
Honey walnut shrimp was amazing! Crisp, perfectly cooked and saucy with huge chunks of walnut. The beef loklak was tender. Lunch specials are reasonably priced.
Service was... Well, it's classic Chinatown. Efficient! Paid parking lot right next outdoor seating.
Parking: Enter on college

“My partner and I came by spontaneously when we were out. I got the vegetarian rice dish and my partner got the chicken Bahn mi. The tofu in my dish was some of the best seasoned, best cooked tofu I've ever had, and to quote my partner through a very full mouth, "I've had Bahn mis that are pretty meh, but this is absolutely fire."
This is our new Vietnamese spot for sure.“

“I've been visiting this hidden gem for over a decade, and I can confidently say that their bánh mì remains some of the best I’ve ever had in Chinatown! The #1 option with cold cuts and Vietnamese-style meatloaf is incredibly flavorful. I might be mistaken, but I detect a lovely smoky note that elevates the entire sandwich.
The bread is truly exceptional—fresh, soft on the inside, and perfectly crunchy on the outside. It’s the ideal baguette to complement the vibrant fillings. Every bite is a delightful mix of textures and flavors that keeps me coming back for more. If you’re in the area, you have to give this place a try!“
