The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. The space is lush, moody, and industrial, transporting guests to another place. The cocktail program is top-tier, with beautifully balanced drinks. The Hinoki-scented black cod is still a star, and the duck is rich, tender, and flavorful. Vegetable dishes are not an afterthought. Service is polished but relaxed, and the indoor/outdoor vibe makes it perfect for a date night or a power dinner. The food is absolutely delicious, from the crispy jidori chicken with sambal honey to the heirloom tomato & burrata salad with yuzu-shisho vinagrette, miso salmon, and braised short rib. The chefs and kitchen staff did an amazing job. The ambiance is beautiful and comforting. Hinoki & the Bird has jumped to a favorite spot, looking forward to coming back.
