Location temporarily moved to the parking lot upstairs! Fuga izakaya will change to teppanyaki in case you wonder why there is a permanently closed sign at the store. The food used to taste better and was more creative/diverse! We liked the Shishito pepper, garlic fries, A5 wagyu steak, and ribeye steak. Pretty chill ambience, which is different than what it used to be.

i'm sad that izakaya fu ga closed during the pandemic, but this is a neat little pivot their doing. So they took over part of the Kajima Buildings 2nd floor parking garage as their out door beer garden concept. Probably one of the few places in the city that offers grill your own yakiniku option out doors. The menu is very limited compared to when it was an Izakaya, but theres enough things on there for you to eat that will make you full. They also have a full bar and they have beer towers and a bunch of sake and shochu. we ordered the beef tongue, the kalbi short rib and the outside skirt steak for the yakiniku. and then we also ordered a medley of side dishes like fried rice, garlic french fries, a crab hand roll and a house salad and the assorted kushiyaki set. The yakiniku was really good, the meat cuts were premium and you're gonna pay for that premium cause you only get like 5-6 slices of the meat for about $13 bucks. Out of those three i Liked the beef tongue the best, rich beefy taste and the sauce wasn't too sweet or anything. The fried rice was good if a bit moist, but i think thats just how japanese style fried rice is. The kushiyaki was really good, very well seasoned. House sald has dressing on the side, but it comes already drenched in dressing so if you like to do it to your own taste tell them to hold the dressing on the side. Over all the ambiance of the place was cool, it definitley has a cool flair to it. Because you're surrounded by taller office buidlings and apartments but its open air dining. It's been quite a mild summer so, the temps do dip at night and combined with a breeze, you may actually feel kinda cold up there. They do have patio warmers up there tho if you're cold. I think they share a kitchen with sushi kaneyoshi down stairs, cause they have to leave their bar station to get their food from somewhere in the building. I'd come back it has a cool vibe, also they were showing the Angels game on a tv.

This opened during COVID. I come here frequently. The food is great here! It's in the 2nd level parking of the Kajima building. Top quality food!

This restaurant used to be my favorite place to eat in all of Los Angeles. I could not explain or express how amazing the food USED to be. I recently came for my birthday and I was so excited to show my friend what I have been bragging about for so long. The moment I had to go upstairs to a beer garden is when I started to have my doubts, but the moment I saw the menu I lost all confidence. The limited menu took out majority of the popular dishes. All of the food I ordered tasted like it came from the food court. All in all I'm sad that I won't be able to return here for the food they used to serve.

A sign that says Rooftop Beer Garden caught our eyes. We followed the signs that led us to Izakaya Fu-ga. Located on the rooftop of the parking structure, Izakaya Fu-ga transformed the space into a traditional street izakaya in Tokyo. The space is open and cute. They have a pretty extensive booze menu. As for food, they have Yakiniku, Teppan, yakitori, hotpot, and some tapas (such as karaage, gyoza, calamari rings, etc.) On this visit, since we weren't hungry, we got the assorted kushiyaki and a kimchi nabe hotpot to share. The kushiyaki came with 5 skewers- bacon wrapped gobo, bacon wrapped asparagus, chicken with green onion, beef filet, and shishito pepper. They were well seasoned and delicious. Kimchi nabe was also very flavorful, and perfect for the chilly evening. It was a nice light dinner, under the starlight. The vibe really brought me back to Tokyo, and reminisced about traveling aboard.

The food was good, the menu is very simple with no cocktails, no mixed drinks and only pure liquor , beer and sake with plastic glasses. The service remains with the same waitress they had before the pandemic, which is good too. The environment could be a little more cozy and unfortunately the day we went was windy which made everything very uncomfortable. But overall it was a reasonable experience, nothing that compares to the real restaurant downstairs, but hey, there's a pandemic going on and we all need to be supportive and flexible.

This is the best restaurant in our place! This restaurant has the best food menu. I really like their employees, since they are really well accommodated and well educated as well. They've served the best menu that inspires customers to go to this restaurant. People and workers are very involved and very friendly. Wonderful service, guy!

You have to walk through the garage to get to the rooftop beer garden BUT WORTH IT! Exceptional cuisine and super friendly staff. Don't miss out on this semi secret jewel! While restaurants are packed this place has the space to relax, breathe and enjoy great food.
