I like this place my go to plate is the short ribs w rice onions n gravy no beans no salad.. I actually go to pioneer chicken and get 2 pieces a la carte to eat with the short rib plate because the plate has plenty of rice to last me 3 full meals
Johnny's Shrimp Boat is a Los Angeles comfort food STAPLE, and deserves its own STAR on the walk of fame. After an especially hard day's work, my Dad, Grandpa, and I would stop and eat at Johnny's, as a treat or reward. This gem is located on Whittier Blvd in Los Angeles (Boyle Heights )the fried shrimp is delicious the batter is cooked to perfection don't forget to try the rice and gravy!!! Restaurant is nice and clean the lady at the register always has a great smile
