Loteria is the real deal and does not get the attention and praise it deserves. I recently ordered the shrimp tacos, pozole verde, lengua tacos, beef tostada - all for myself! It was all phenomenal. Loteria is truly one of LA’s gems.

I got tamales for the Candelaria’s day celebration. ( A must after you get the baby Jesus on the Rosca de Reyes).
They were delicious. Good proportions on meat and masa. I will definitely will be ordering from this place. I’m Hispanic and I’m always looking for authentic flavors.

Loteria is an old favorite from the days when they had a bigger presence in the L.A. restaurant scene. We feel very lucky to live so close to their takeout window. And we come about once a week. We have several dishes we like, but the reliable standout is the pozole rojo. And the shrimp tacos are great too.
