“The waitress was very professional and explained the menu in a great way. Try it out! You won't regret it.

My only negative (which didn't really affect the food) was that I wanted it more spicy. I understand most people don't like high levels of spice so I am not holding that against them.“

“It's really totally worth the trip here. Just awesome killer food, so fn good. Best restaurant tacos and nachos I've ever had, and I've lived all over the USA. Great prices, too, better than the surrounding restaurants for miles. I recommend trying Danny Trajo's beer, it was good. Also, the Date Sweetened Horchata is good, too. Both are worth trying. We will definitely return, we live not far at all. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you are in Los Angeles. This restaurant is not exactly Mexican food, it's really uniquely Los Angeles food. A taste and menu that I think is unique to this place. Danny Trajo, sir you have done a really awesome job. Your crew was respectful and courteous. Your restaurant is clean, service is quick. Prices are awesome. Food portions are perfect. I like the merch there for sale. More than a 5 star if I could.

Kid-friendliness: Kids. I don't recommend kids. Not like at this restaurant. I don't recommend kids at all in life in general. Don't have kids.“

“True to its roots, quality service and excellent flavor. To sum it up, “don’t judge a book by its cover.” The place is easily missed by the looks of the street, but hidden within lies delicious and affordable plates that bring the best of Mexican culinary arts. If the drive from home was not this far, I would be here daily. Parking in the back is free while front parking charges per hour using meter. Clean environment and restrooms.
If you are ever in Downtown or in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t regret it!“

“Heading to Boyle Heights to hangout with friends and my hunnis and I stumbled on this bar. The tacos were really good. They were a little pricey but I like trying new spots. I had a fried shrimp taco & grill shrimp taco. My hunnis got an asada taco and a fried shrimp taco as well. They even made me a virgin margarita. We had to park on the streets which could be a hassle but we were fortunate to get a close up spot. We stopped in there on a Friday afternoon and there wasn’t many folks in there. But it had a cool vibe. We will visit again!“

Dantes Cafe Cafe • $

“The banana cream pie here is the best I've ever had! During the holidays it's best that you pre order. The line goes down the block. I was sad to see that they were closed at 8:55pm when google says they close at 10pm. The chicken pot pie was a little watery for me. But I still give 4 stars because the banana cream pie is bomb!“
