Overall - a good restaurant in the LA downtown area. I would recommend. Food - excellent, innovative and tasteful. Servings are robust. Flavors are original. Garden room ambiance - beautiful, nice booths, open to the sky yet still a nice enclosed feel. Lighting - gets very dim when sun sets and the candles are too weak for light. You feel like you're sitting in a dark spot almost no matter where you sit. The wireless table lamps many restaurants use these days would solve...
First time experiencing brunch there. It did not disappoint! Staff and service on point. We mentioned we had plans after our reservations & had to get out of there by a certain time. Timing of our food was nice & not rushed.
Suspected prejudice in a member of the wait staff re some issues around how they treat people from certain demographics when said waiter clearly made a huge mistake. By minimizing and dismissing the error after we spent time and money in the restaurant is never a good feeling. Management did their best to recover but I'm not sure that it's worth a repeat experience just for the good meal.
