There are natural flavored waters made of real fruit. Here is where the famous bacon wrapped hot dogs are sold with onions, jalapenos peppers, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and the option to make it spicy. The place has natural homemade beef and chicken soups, grilled fish, fried cauliflower, shrimp cocktails and other foods and meals.“

“The best tacos/burritos In NELA!! Might not be the most flashy spot but the flavor is out of this world. After every spot I've tried(out of state and country) this is by far the only place I HAVE to return to. The staff are all nice, courteous and lovely people and their portions are always a hook up too. Their salsas are a must if you're having their burritos as you have to dunk them in it for the full on experience. And for the homies traveling from far don't trip there's a dispensary 30 ft away and it's located in a hot spot for bar hopping if you're tryna enjoy this side of town. For the tourist and out of towners it might interest yall that Billie Eilish lives around the corner from here since that's a selling point for y'all. Don't forget to tip!“

“Good food, but kinda sloppy at the end of the night. They ran out of most of their food by 1030pm on a Friday night and only had tacos (tortillas). The green salsa was good and spicy, the red salsa was definitely fire! Tacos de Asada were delicious, but the meat was a bit dry. The horchata was watered down, but authentic. Very affordable and tasty, but maybe go earlier in your evening and not so late for variety availability on the menu. I would go back.

Parking: The parking is quite awful. Unless you get lucky and find parking up close, you might have to park a block away like we did.“

“Wow. This place is simple but delicious. The style "de canasta" basically means the tacos are steamed and gently compressed inside of a basket.I got the frijoles, papas con chorizo, and the chicarron. All three were excellent. A full meal would be at least 2 tacos.Make sure you put the toppings on. Absolutely critical! They have these sweet pickled slices of carrots and pickled onions that were amazing.Definitely coming back here again.“

“This was our 2nd time going and it did not disappoint. I had 3 chorizo tacos & esquites. Seriously, so good. My fiancé had the same things that I did. He loved his food, too. We, also, bought the churros with Nutella fort mom. She's never had Nutella before this. The churros smells so good. The churros came with a cute little jar of Nutella. My mom loved the churros and Nutella. We cannot wait to go back.“

“We had just checked in to a nearby Hilton Express restaurant and had asked the receptionist to recommend us a good local place to eat and without any hesitation he suggested Rico's Tacos. So we walked down the street and saw that there was a bit of a line-up, which is always a good sign. There is some outdoor seating at the side of the restaurant near the parking lot. I went inside and ordered 2 Tacos with Chicken ($3.98) and 2 tacos with BBQ Pork ($3.98) as well as a Chicken Burrito ($7.75). This is real Mexican food without the flashy tomatoes, shredded lettuce, etc that most people are used to from faux Mexican restaurants. It took about 15 minutes for our order to be ready and we took it outside to enjoy it at the tables outside. Wow!! Talk about tasty!! These are some of the best tacos and burritos that I have ever tasted!! Loaded with flavour and a spicy edge, they all come with a bag of pickled veggies and some hot sauce on the side. It was so good that we went back in and ordered more tacos - there is such a great assortment! Definitely a great place to go, especially late at night for some real authentic Mexican food! Most of the staff doesn't speak English but don't let that deter you. We will definitely be going back there if we are in the area - that's for sure!“

“By far and beyond the best food I've had in my life. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, I trust anything that comes off of their grill. Filling, flavorful, creative. “Both the Asada and Encebollado de res (beef with onions) were great. I'd never encountered encebollado de res before. The al pastor was also awsome, but it was very different from what I normally think of as al pastor. I'm almost tempted to say that it wasn't really al pastor. It was delicious though. I highly recommend it. The chicken taco was very well cooked, and nice and juicy, but would have benefited from some more seasonings or a marinade or something. Still good though.“

The Al Pastor was ON POINT. It’s rare to find authentic pastor outside of DF and this is IT. As I sat by the parking lot, getting an accidental whiff of gasoline, it was almost like being back in El Defectuoso!!! Carnitas was good too, but the moist kind, rather than the crispy kind I truly love. But the meat was PILED HIGH on both tacos and the salsa bar ample and luscious. Avocado salsa!!! Don’t walk, run.“
