Worst tacos ever, gave me diarrhea, salsa was past due, if you want to get poison then go ahead, you’ll die, customer service is just as bad, please don’t eat at this place.

Trust me when I say I REALLYYYYY wanted to love this place. I saw it all over social media and had it bookmarked forever. I have been a fan of birria tacos since my friend made me some and shared the recipe. I've made it a few times and it's delicious. When I found out this truck was a local(ish) truck, I was super happy and planned my trip. We got there around 10:30AM for an early lunch and trying to avoid a long line but we were already too late. The wait to order was about an hour and the wait to get the food was probably around 45 min. Yes, I was sad about the wait but so excited about finally getting to try an authentic version that I didn't really mind. We ordered 2 mulitas, 2 vampiros, 2 birria tacos and a cup of consomme (sorry if any of these are misspelled). They were good, but dry. The consomme was not that great... it was quite bland and only tasted decently good after putting a ton of lime juice.... I do have to mention that the tacos were quite large and meaty but besides that I don't think it was worth the wait...

This birria truck hits the spot! A buddy and I made the trek from the west side, and we're so glad we did. Keep in mind, the tacos are pretty big--about 2x the size of street tacos--so plan your order accordingly! Plus, the spot is cash only. We tried a variety of tacos, and my favorites were the goat and cabeza crunchy tacos. The tacos were hot and crispy when they came out, and the consome was delicious. If you're ever in the area, make sure to come and try Tacos y Birria La Unica!

Back in July, it was my first time ever trying Birria tacos and I was extremely lucky to have experienced it at this food truck. We asked all over where to try birria and everyone we spoke with recommended La Unica! The food truck had a long line, but were very effecient in taking orders. The truck is cash only, but luckily our waitress accepted Apple Pay, so make sure to bring cash! The tacos were delicious and the consume tasted so fresh. I recommend the vampiro birria tacos if you're in a spicy mood. The food was so good that we ordered more after finishing our first order.

Really delicious birria. They have tacos, quesadillas, burritos mulitas... And quesadillas by request. When you order they ask if you want your tortilla corn or flour, because they make them by hand on the spot. Good guacamole, and additional fixings like onions and radishes and different salsas. One of my favorite spots in Boyle Heights.

Really good birria tacos and def worth the hype. I preferred the beef ones over the lamb. Definitely get the consume to dip your tacos in! Cars were coming and going so it was easy to find some street parking. One bad thing is the hours - closes at 3pm so get there asap!

Was on a girls trip to Disneyland and had heard about this place so we drove up to it on our way to Burbank. It was not a disappointment. The tacos were so good we got there about 30min after they opened and no one in line, so we were excited. I will be coming back when I come back to LA. Come early cause by time we were finished eating the lunch line was forming!! But they move fast and it's worth the wait

Oh man... one of my favorite taco spots in LA. Down Olympic and closing at 3, it feels a lot like IYKYK and everyone else misses out. But their line tells me they don't need to advertise because everybody already knows. I like birria, but their birria de chivo is what makes it special. It's rare that they can make this without the gamey flavor and do it so well. Then the masa tacos, fried with cheese in them.... Did I mention their salsas on their AAA game? I'm continually impressed. That being said, all of the meats taste sort of similar, so I recommend the birria de chivo. It tastes similar to the others but just with more flavor, for sure.

There is only one complaint about this truck and that is the little parking available most of the time. Fair pricing. Good quantity. Great quality. I've tried other Birria trucks and I can't find one on par with this one. The flavor in their broth is above others. The tenderness in their meat is perfect. The corn tortilla's are a great change in taste when most other taco establishments use flour. I would come here so much more often if it was not almost an hour drive from me.

Great tacos! Very filling and yummy. They also offer bottled aguas frescas which were good. Not too much seating and only street parking but there is a dollar tree parking lot that people use.

Second time back. Still the best birria queso taco in the city. A new item I tried this was the vampiro. HOLY MOLY. Absolutely on point. If you haven't tried the vampiro here yet, get it ASAP. It's crunchy and just as savory and delicious as the birria. Personally I think I like the vampiro more cause of the crunch mhmmmmmmm. Damn it. Craving one now cause I'm writing about it. Got damn. Someone deliver it for me :)

Amazing Quesa Birria Tacos and amazing service. The birria was extremely tender and there was a lot of really good textures in the meal. The consomme was really well balanced too. There was a LOT of meat inside the consomme and I drank it all dry. Definitely try it out!

I hate parallel parking in LA, but the birria de chivo and consommé here were so on point that it was 100% worth going through the emotional turmoil of parallel parking on a busy street. Service is top-notch! I love how they don't skimp of their onion, cilantro, salsa and limes. The kind staff could tell it was my first time and recommended the shredded goat cheese tacos to my group. Man, I was not a fan of goat before, but this place changed my mind. If you're afraid of gamey flavors, give this place a try! The goat was tender, cheesy, and had the PERFECT amount of gaminess *chefs kiss* Other than the tacos, their vampiro is my recommendation for those looking for a crunch factor. The consommé is in league of its own. Instead of other places with overwhelming and heavy consommé, the consommé here works in union with their tacos. The flavors blend together seamlessly.

Best birria tacos!! Usually get the quesotaco but wanted to get something different and got the dorados and vampiro this time around. The crunchy taco was good but do like it with cheese as well! I would maybe do one dorado and quesotaco next time I go back. The vampiro, holy crap - the amount of meat they give you on this taco, felt like I walked out of AYCE Korean bbq after this taco. The crisp taco was good but too thick for my liking. The consume is also bomb. Honestly coming from the east coast I get hungry by 9am PST. And a quesotaco w consume is a great hangover combo after a night of drinking lol

Left the beach for these tacos lol. They do close pretty early at 3pm. They do set up some tables outside so you can eat. This is a taco truck. We got some birria tacos. They were good but greasy. The line wasn't to bad.
