Super cool location with lots of great shops and vendors. Food was really good. I got the burrito and it was huge and delicious. Well worth your time and money to come here.
I ordered the Surf and Turf Burrito. The burrito itself had a lot of flavor. Lots of beans and meat. The shrimp was a little chewy but it was still good. The salsa was good, but a little to spicy for me. The service was good as well. The staff was helpful.
When I opened the bag, it smelled like potential, but the ripping of the aluminum, as I was peeling off the sticker holding it together, was the kind of foreshadowing I couldn’t unsee. First bite—nothing but corn. Too sweet. Second bite—nothing but rice. Bland and unseasoned. But I, an optimist, continued. Bean by bean, my wide eyes began to waver as I made my way through. The bowl version contains pineapples, but this robust monolith had no citrus in sight to distract from what came next. One drip on my freshly cleaned jeans, another drop on my rug. And then, as the holed-aluminum foil and foreshadowing predicted, the great flood began. First, my walnut coffee table, coated in an unknown liquid. Comparable to gutter water and an undiscovered bodily fluid, it simultaneously ran down my arm, into my sleeve. My hasty plate grab was no match. Now, a third of my $16 meal sits atop 4 paper towels. I stare at it, longingly, wishing things were different. And still, hungry.
Trejo's Tacos is ok but not that impressive, it's more a show than the food.
Many souvenirs of Trejo's himself, and the entire taco shop was decorated that way, even with his icon with 2 butcher knives in both his hands, reminder of his most well-known image in the movies.
Ordered Pork Carnitas and Beef Barbacoa tacos, the beef was a bit dry, while the pork with pineapple π was delightful in the taste.
We also ordered their 3-cheese quesadillas, it was fine.
Overall, Trejo's Tacos is more a tourist spot if you're interested.

Tacos are very tasty and moderately priced, goat tacos are a must try and the spicy shrimp as well , service was quick. The staff were ok they are lacking a bit of patience with customers.

Wow ! You may need to hire someone who comprehends communication faster ... taking an order is really hard for her and she doesn't smile or welcome you and is super abrupt ... not the greatest first impression for people visiting LA for the first time. No change and our order was a round number. This she tells us AFTER we wait 20 min to order.

Hate to say it but tacoβs are really bad and the price $6 a taco definitely not worth it. I couldnβt finish even one out of the two I ordered and just gave it back to them. Love the actor but this is not food. Better quality and taste from a roach coach on the street then this.

I recently tried Trejoβs Tacos for the first time and, unfortunately, the experience didnβt live up to my expectations.
I ordered the surf and turf bowl and a steak asada burrito. The surf and turf came with asada and a few shrimp. While both were cooked well, the shrimp tasted like they had been pre-cooked and sitting for a while before being served. The pico de gallo also tasted offβlike it was a day old or had been left out too longβwhich really took away from the overall flavor of the dish.
The steak asada burrito was better, but it was noticeably too salty.
The price was reasonable for the location, but the food itself wasnβt worth what I paid.
I was genuinely looking forward to trying this place, so it was disappointing that the food quality didnβt match the hype. Unfortunately, I donβt think Iβll be going back again.
