awesome all around. The buffet was great and the service was phenomenal. I am sure it has been tough for restaurants due to staffing shortages but the experience was great all around.
Effective Sep 2024 Moreton Fig (restaurant) was changed to Moreton Fig Cafe, now a fixed-price self-serve buffet & hosted bar rather than a full service sit-down restaurant, with significant hike in price ($65 + mandatory 23% grat + tax =$88 otd); may be a value for big drinkers but too expensive for non-drinkers as the buffet food (fair, not a large selection) was not worth the cost. Reservations only available on OpenTable (you cannot call them direct anymore), payment required at booking, and no refunds, no provision to accept Alumni discount card.
Our waiter is such a wonderful server. He is attentive, transparent, and thoughtful. He's an African American gentleman, muddle-aged, and taller than I am, but I wouldn't put him at 6 feet. He's perhaps 5 ft. 9 or 10. Also, the food was delicious.
For Trojan fans or campus visitors, [Restaurant Name]'s campus location is a top choice. While the food may be a bit pricey, the convenience of its location and consistently friendly staff make it worth it. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal with a side of Trojan spirit.
Terrible experience but our waitress was great. She had warned our party the kitchen was backed up. Our table of 3, ordered salads and fries. 50 minutes later we finally received our food. I felt so bad for our waitress. She was great. The manager did comp our meals and appreciate that.
I always enjoy a meal at Moreton Fig on the USC campus. From business lunches to Happy Hour before a game, Moreton Fig does not disappoint. The menu is inventive and delicious, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Even if you are not on the USC campus, it's worth a visit!
Overall, the food, service, venue and convenience of being on the USC campus, make this a great place for a middle of the day lunch. The only reason for pause is the cost. It is definitely not a place to grab lunch everyday if you're trying to be on a budget.
We went for pre-usc football game meal. Abbreviated menu for game day, food was brought out quickly and was very tasty. The Fig was extremely busy and servers were harried and understaffed. Cocktails took 20 min to be delived. Didn't order a 2nd round, waiter said line was too long in the bar. During regular hours, this would be a great place to dine. Get there early on game day, and don't expect a quick meal. Our server Scott, was nice and did his best. We appreciated that
We loved everything about this place. It felt like a high end dining experience but casual and comfortable and absolutely lovely all around. We were pleasantly surprised that the prices were so reasonable. What a wonderful surprise to have cocktails not cost $25! We will definitely be back! Don't change a thing!
We come here before USC games. Last week was so great, but today horrible! Had to send my Cheeseburger back two times it was raw instead! Just ate fries and cornbread which were good. I understand it's busy on game day But you shouldn't be sending out raw food!

My reservation was for the outdoors patio, but the hostess told me it was unavailable when I got there. The establishment helped themselves to a 20 % tip, which was added to the bill. When I informed them that there was an unauthorized charge on the bill, they said I had no choice but to pay it. I won't be back.
More expensive than Chipotle but not nearly as good. They forgot the guacamole on my veggie guacamole bowl. The mobile order pickup was terribly disorganized, and there were orders laying around everywhere. The employee who gave me my order was rude, and clearly overworked.
You can eat Mexican lunch such as tacos and salad bowls.Mexican meals are served.
Wannabe Chipotle. Super lackluster.
The guac is awesome! Even though it costs extra. . .
