Our waiter Carlos was very pleasant and attentive. It was a very quiet night. The ambience was very upscale but still chill. Very nice vibe. The food overall was good quality, but lacked flavor. The raw oysters were absolutely divine. I would definitely go back.
I was in the mood to over eat, which is easy to do here in a good kind of way, so I feel that is a compliment, not a criticism. I had a VERY flavorful rib eye steak. Some sides were not as good as the enthusiastic server inferred, nor how the menu read. Same with dessert. I was worried that it would smack too much of a chain restaurant which it technically is, but this is the original location and it has integrity.
My family and I came today to celebrate my father's birthday and he was absolutely delighted by the experience overall. The staff are all so friendly and the food was a 10/10! Such fresh seafood and gorgeous plating. We will be back and thank you all for making it a great experience for native Angelenos.
