“Our favorite pizza place in Los Osos or Baywood Park to go to. They have a great local on tap beer selection. Thursday night is trivia night so it can be quite busy.

Vegetarian options: Several good veggie options to put on a pizza

Parking: Sometimes you have to park near the other businesses in their lot and walk a few extra steps when it gets busy.

Kid-friendliness: Free video games for kids to play while waiting for pizza. Keeps kids busy so the parents can actually carry on a conversation and finish their meal.

“This taco ruck serves up delicious food. They regularly serve a very moist and flavorful birria, burritos, burrito bowls, quesadillas and of course tacos and probably a few other items I'm missing. They sometimes have sopes and tamales as well. We are never disappointed.”

“Absolutely love staying at this resort, and the Clubhouse Grill is a large part of that. Lively atmosphere, always friendly servers, and excellent food! Fun to eat outside on the patio while watching live music or golfers (depending on the day), or to eat inside watching sports on the large screen TVs. “Do yourself a favor and eat here. A unique menu that you will want to try and replicate at home. I tried the "Morro Melt" breakfast dish, a 1/4 inch thick cut of turkey served on a 1 inch thick blue corn waffle topped with caramelized onion, Havardi cheese (I think) avocado, some type of greens (maybe arugula) and a few other ingredients - delicious!.

I also had one of their special coffees (can't remember the name), but it was similar to bullet-proof coffee with a twist - they added hemp seeds, cinnamon and dates for sweetness. That is a damn good cup of coffee.

The ordering process starts outside where you go to what looks like a take-out window. You place your order and then you are given a number plate. At that point you go inside and sit down. We got there 15 minutes before it opened and within a 1/2 hour the place was full

“So many amazing looking options for vegans! We tried the tempeh taco, jackfruit tacos, and island smoothie. Everything was so good. The tempeh taco looks more like a large salad with a taco on the side. The cilantro cream dressing was delicious. Everything we got had lots of flavor and felt like you were eating something nourishing. Very casual eating environment, which we liked. Highly recommend!”

If you’re within 100 miles of Morro Bay and NOT eating at Savory Smoke, what are you even doing with your life?! 😱

Let’s talk about the Tri Tip Sandwich—8 inches of pure, smoky, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth heaven. It’s so moist and tender, I almost proposed to it. (No regrets. It said yes.) The flavor? Imagine if a cowboy rode a mesquite-scented unicorn through a cloud of hickory smoke and dropped a sandwich straight into your lap. Yeah. That good.

Now the onion rings… I need a moment. 😮‍💨 CRISP PERFECTION. These babies are golden halos of crunchy bliss. Guy Fieri would fist-bump the chef. Bobby Flay would retire. Gordon Ramsay would call them “bloody brilliant” and toss Carl’s Jr and Burger King’s sad excuses into the bin.

And it gets better: the vibes are immaculate. Chill downtown location, great staff, and the friendliest doggos this side of the dog park. I swear one winked at me like, “Yeah, human. You get it.” 🐶🎶
