Wait staff most excellent very personable. I took my date for dinner for her birthday and we were taken very good care of. Food was great! Well organized place and ran smoothly. Great experience in dining. Will be going back!
I wanted to love Slay Steak and Fish because I love Slay Italian Kitchen, and it's walking distance from home. However, the noise level and acoustics were a huge detractor. The food was good, but not particularly inspired, and a little bit salty. We did have a great server who took time to let us taste wine, which we ordered by the glass. Nonetheless, at $250 for dinner for two (without ordering a bottle of wine), it didn't quite make my "can't wait to return"...
Need to have a better bar tender, drink is mediocre, Very mediocre chocolate matini. No chocolate liqueur or very diluted. Do not know what is a brandy Alexander; you don't need a blender. Just brandy, crème de cocoa and cream in the shaker until frosting. Wine per glass seems less than the usual typical volume.
