Staff is so friendly at this location. I was particularly impressed with the manager (male with glasses and facial hair) who was very active in checking on tables, calling out orders from the front of the counter, checking-in and chatting with customers, and helping staff. You could tell her genuinely cares about his job and staff!

Great location near the beach. Nice atmosphere as well. Consistent coffee. However, I'm curious about the pay ahead situation. People are coming in off the street, picking up a coffee that may or may not be theirs. I guess if this happens, SB can just make another without much loss. I'm all for the honor system, so I hope this works out. It's probably great for introverts who probably used most of their strength, getting out of the house and to the coffee shop.

Selective treatment of customers.. barista at the register demanded my friends and I purchase before using the restroom while others were able to walk in freely with no purchase. Very nice first impression👍🏾 One of the number of reasons I’ve loss interest in Starbucks as a brand and the coffee has become overwhelmingly meh over the years so I’m forced to purchase other items on the menu.

I am a long-time Starbucks customer. After a long drive I was in the area and wanted to visit the restroom, but the guy at the register said that I needed to buy something first and that it was company policy, even though I showed him my account. If I were half a pig I would have peed right there. Thanks to the girl at the restaurant across the street who doesn't have that policy.

Super slow and no drinks are coming out. I can see people are getting upset and kept walking up to check on their orders. Definitely needs some more training.

If overpriced tea or coffee is your "cup of tea," then this Manhattan Beach location won't disappoint. Situated only a block from the pier, its vacinity exudes vacation visitors appeal. Natives flock here as well.But name recognition shouldn't invoke price gouging.
