My go-to place for sushi when I happen to be in LA. There are no reservations, so you typically have to wait, but for not a lot of time. They have the right match of service people to tables and their system works well. The fish is always fresh and the tip is a flat rate on the bill at 16%. It’s a pretty small place, so probably not good for groups larger than 6 or with picky eaters (this is a sushi restaurant and doesn’t have too much else). The only ding is the their app sometimes calls you for your table too early and you have to wait in the restaurant before they call you back up.

Honestly it was the staff and pace off everything. Trust me Just eat? I don’t even know what I was given and it was terribly paced.

Sugarfish offers fresh fish at a reasonable price! There's a ton of sushi places around and it just can't be beat.

This place has a wide variety of delicious options. The "Trust Me" dinners are worth it.

Trust Me Nozawa with Sapporo reserve! Cannot go wrong, ever. Pasadena location is usually our go to but the Manhattan Beach one is super nice too!

Excellent quality sushi. I usually do the to-go so that it comes with the cute sushi boxes and it's always a fun experience. The sushi is great quality and fresh. The rice is always the perfect temperature and texture. I did not find any free parking when I came here so I recommend coming with someone to get dropped off to run in and pick up the food!

For the quality of food and the amount given, the prices at SUGARFISH are so worth it. I tried this when I was in LA and it instantly jumped up to one of my favorite places. I love the way that the sushi and hand rolls are prepared -- everything is so fresh and has the perfect amount of flavor. I got the "Don't Think. Just Eat" set ($59), which came with a sashimi course, 7 orders of nigiri, and 2 hand rolls. By the time I was done, I was stuffed and so satisfied. My favorites were the otoro, salmon, and shrimp sushi, as well as both the crab hand roll and the tuna hand roll. The hand rolls also came out fresh so the outside was warm and crunchy, which contrasted with the cool fish. In addition, my friend ordered a Nigori - Unfiltered sake, which introduced me to my new favorite sake. Overall, all wins during this meal and I only wish I lived closer to LA so I could frequent this place more often!

Loved our sugarfish experience! We arrived for an earlier dinner and still had about an hour wait. There's plenty of shops or other bars in the area to kill time at. Once we were seated, we all got the trust me menu and some sake to share. Honestly the amount of food you get for $35 (trust me menu) is well worth the price and it's all fresh and delicious. My favorite was the crab hand roll!

The sashimi is to die for. Quality here is UNMATCHED, service is always great. Not only a good date night spot but a good girls night spot!
