First the location of this restaurant is prime! Great view of the Manhattan Beach Pier and the water- so beautiful! The food was good but not extraordinary but expected since I can see that people would come here for the view and vibe and that would make the food much more delicious by association- it totally did that for me :) I appreciate that the staff were looking to be friendly and was constantly checking in but I totally felt hovered over. It may also be the way the staff...
The server with the Australian/English accent did not get my order right. I asked for well done poached eggs for my crab eggs Benedict. And when they brought it back it was still the same way. By then I was too hungry to send it back. I asked for the bill and he had the audacity to put the 22 percent tip button highlighted. So, Watch out before paying!
Our flight from LAX all of a sudden was delayed for 5 hours past its original departure time. Instead of becoming sitting lumps we wanted to go to the beach and grab a quick dinner. And the Strand didn't disappoint at all. As we watched the Cali Sunset from our seats the Fall vibes were in the drinks, apps, and THE branzino is one of the BEST we,ve had! And those rolls whew! Very tasty. It's the perfect distance of quality beach & food. And we made it back to LAX...
