“Our fist time here (me & my 2 kids), the reason why I did not give 5 ⭐️ is because I asked my eggs over easy and this is what a got,(seepicture)Flavor is so good. Chilaquiles are no the best but good too, 4/5 for that, meat is soo soft and what I ordered was much so I did not finish. The horchata was soooo good too. I will come back to try something else.“

“Came for lunch after doing a search for mexican restaurants. I ordered the enchilada plate with one chile Colorado enchilada and one chile Verde enchilada. This was a wise choice because both were delicious! Beans were good, and rice was excellent. Make sure you get the cabbage slaw from the salsa bar for the cherry on top! Returning for sure!“

“Best super quesadillas in California by far. Been coming here about 20 years. When I lived in SoCal I missed these quesadillas so much. SoCal super quesadillas are lacking after growing up eating these ones. I never order anything else here lol no need.“

“I went to San Diego recently and was expecting some good tacos from there but surprisingly coming home and eating here was better and cheaper. The tacos are great, and I recommend getting the al pastor and lengua tacos with a bottled Mexican coke. This place is a classic.“

“La Estrella has very good food but the quality/taste is inconsistent. This was our first visit the the restaurant. We had a variety of items to eat and drink. The carrot juice (Zanahoria) was freshly made and excellent. I believe rice and beans are a great litmus test for a Mexican Restaurant and theirs were very good. Creamy beans and flavorful rice that tasted freshly prepared. My shrimp taco was very good but not a lot of shrimp inside. My Chile Relleno was fantastic, I wish I just order these. A pastor enchilada was only OK, a bit dry, bland and disappointing. We ordered flan for desert and it as terrible. We had two small bites and left the rest. So as you can see from this review, food ranges from fantastic too terrible. Pick carefully and you will have a great meal. Place is super clean inside and nice atmosphere. The salsa bar is excellent.“

“Well, I thought I'd be just another Mexican restaurant, but as soon as I walked into the Las Casuelas Restaurant and smelled the amazing aromas...I knew right then and there this was no ordinary Mexican restaurant! I came to Manteca to give my old Triffids Arcnobbler to my pal Dallas Cromlonger because he's been eyeballin it for 30 years! It'll be a surprise birthday present and I'm giving it to him at the Las Casuelas Restaurant. The food...all I can say is...Man-O-Man...WOW! It was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“I just want to start off by saying ERIC you are the man !
When I pulled in I was immediately greeted by a gentleman manning the bbq .
First impressions were really good .
The smoke filled the air from the bbq,
Was met right as I was getting out of my car which was really cool ( he’s in and out of the door bbq n )
When I walked in I was met with so much eye candy I just wanted to try it all !
I ordered a burrito and a tri tip sandwich.
I really was impressed with the set up and definitely the execution. These guys do an amazing job smoking all those meats . I had the pleasure of trying the tri tip and their chicken with some bbq sauce ( spicy ) !! So delicious!
All house made marinades and salsa and bbq sauce !! Bread from the best and only Genova bakery so you know the sandwich’s are top tier ! But they dropped a big bomb on my head ! I asked about beef jerky hahah they make that too !!!! But they sell out so fast I couldn’t even get some , I’ll be checking in on that very soon ! End of my experience was eating that delicious tri tip sandwich and tri tip burrito, all I can say is that I won’t be going anywhere else to get my bbq and burrito fix from now on ! Fair prices amazing customer service you can’t get better than that !!! So again thank you ERIC !“

“Took a customer here for lunch and was impressed. The service was great even with hiccups, LOL. The shopping center should not detour you from enjoying some genuine Mexican food. Go get you some!!!

“This place was damn delicious! Stopping in from now on whenever I pass through town. Got the Reyna Seafood tostada and it could easy feed two or 3. Michilada came with like 6 shrimp. Pulled 4 different salsas from the salsa bar and all delicious. I'm a big fan!“

“First of all, the meat is great, seasoned wonderfully 👏 and the fries for the asada fries are also well seasoned, which makes that dish a 10/10. The tacos 🌮 are all 9/10, and the burritos 🌯 were 8/10. The nachos are good, but the bagged cheese throws it off a bit. The chips are nice and crispy, and they dont get soggy too fast. No crema or salsa, though, so 7/10. The guacamole 🥑 was extremely watered down, too, so that didn't help either.
The chorizo con huevo 🥚 and papas 🥔 🌯 had very little flavor, but at least it was a good size, 5/10. The enchiladas were small, dry, little flavor, and covered with lettuce instead of toppings. Really disappointed 😞 4/10.
For me, I'll stick to the 🌮 and asada 🍟.“
