“Great selection of beers on tap. House burger is pricey, but it's pretty good as far as burgers go. The place is dog and kid friendly so long as they don't disturb other patrons. Staff is friendly but there's no table service so keep that in mind when leaving a tip.”

“I love the Lemon Drop! Sarah is an absolute sweetheart! The service is always friendly and quick. The food and drinks are always delicious! I absolutely love grabbing a lemonade on a hot day and some Champurrado on a cold day! The elote and esquite are a constant craving of mine! We also love to checkout the shop while we wait.”

“We are from NJ, just passing thru on our way to Yosemite. We stayed a night in Mariposa and had dinner and drinks @ The Alley. A great experience, good service, drinks and atmosphere! Highly recommend!”

“Simply the BEST food and service we have experienced in a long time! We are visiting from the UK and spent 3 nights in San Francisco, stopped here on the way to Yosemite and what a stop, this place is not a match for anything that we have had on on our travels to date! Cannot fault it in anyway, the ribeye steak and apple pie are a must! Highly recommend Charles Street Dinner House! What a find we stumbled on! Wish we were staying longer so we could go back and try the rest of the menu! Loved it! Thank you! ❤️”

“I pre-ordered a Thanksgiving pumpkin pie and butter horn rolls. Acacia was very helpful and friendly with the phone order. When we picked up our order, the staff was so friendly and warm to us. Coffee was complimentary that day which was a lovely surprise. The pie was absolutely delicious, as were the rolls. I would definitely want to come back to try more items from this lovely bakery.”

“This place was really great! The owner was at the cash register this morning and was incredibly friendly. You could tell it really mattered to her that we had a good experience…and we did!
The cinnamon roll was delicious. As another reviewer noted, the icing isn’t pure cream cheese, but something else (whatever it was, it worked!). The almond butter toast was perfectly sweet & salty for breakfast. Also I had a frozen mocha which hit the spot. Easy parking, ample seating, and very chill vibes. Highly recommend if you need a quick bite. Loved it.”

“un bar saloon restaurant extraordinaire. nous y sommes allés après une recherche Google car nous étions de passage pour aller à Yosemite. ce restaurant est très étonnant, le personnel est vraiment chaleureux. nous avons découvert l'histoire des billets aux murs et au plafond, le lieu est chargé d'histoire. le restaurant en lui-même est très sympa, nous avons eu plein de conseils même de la part des clients habitués. nous avons choisi un tacos de poisson et aussi le wrap de poulet épicé. c'était vraiment excellent, une adresse à ne pas rater un lieu vraiment typique à voir absolument.”

“Oh, man, we had been traveling all day and stopped by the the truck. We were greeted with smiles that showed they were glad we came. I have never enjoyed a burrito more than this one, chucked plumply with rice, beans, cilantro, guacamole, seasoned ground beef, and more. Don’t miss this when you come to Mariposa. Oh, in a homemade tortilla that was amazing!”

“Their salsa was the freshest I’ve ever tasted!! The food was great. They have a lot of vegetarian options. As with any Mexican restaurant, they can substitute veggies for meat and customize any menu item.

“We traveled from New York to Yosemite and were really craving Asian food. This place was about a 50-minute drive from our hotel—and it was totally worth it! Honestly, the food surprised us in the best way. We ordered 3 dishes and a wonton soup, and everything was delicious.

The service wasn’t perfect, but everyone was kind. One of my friends joked, “If you see the owner’s kid doing homework in a Chinese restaurant, the food’s going to be authentic”—and it definitely was!

I saw someone say the Thai food here isn’t great, but come on—it’s a Chinese restaurant, and that’s what they do best. We loved it so much, we’re even thinking about coming back on Tuesday!”
