Mendocino Café

Mendocino, CA 95460
We were tired and hungry when we found the Mendocino Café. It was an oasis to us weary travelers. We were quickly seated and offered refreshments. I ordered a cup of clam chowder and the Chile Verde plate. My wife ordered a Caesar salad. The entire meal was absolutely delicious and so appreciated. The service was efficient, yet attentive. The prices were fair and appropriate.
I highly recommend the outdoor seating on a fair day.
Friendly service. Very good food especially after eating g nothing g but pizza for three days prior. Lovely Asian food. Fresh flavors and creative use of tofu.
A decent meal on a nice patio, the food was okay but nothing special. Fusion cuisine. Appreciated that we got a table quickly during the busy dinner rush. Carrot cake was extremely dry.
They have a few vegan choices but they could make it more flavorful. Service was wonderful.
We found this location through internet recommendations. First of all their ambience was beautiful. They have both inside and outside seating. We sat outside next to the beautiful flowers and plants. This is a dog friendly restaurant. Their service was amicable and quick. We got apple juice, chips and guacamole, clam chowder, lentil soup, healing bowl (chicken), Tofu Thai curry, stir fry with tofu and bread pudding. The clam chowder was creamy flavorful and soothing. The chips and guacamole were fresh and handmade. It was excellent. The healing bowl was interesting and felt more like a healthier version of Japanese Ramen soup noodles. The stir fry was good with Smokey flavor and a hint of soy sauce. The Tahiti curry was the best that we got. It was so creamy and the veggies were cooked to perfect. Finally the bread pudding was hot with caramel and nutmeg topping. Overall we weee satisfied with the food and ambience.
A great place, good food and friendly staff
Fusion of classic american cuisine and asian. The garden patio is lovely
Really nice outdoor seating festooned with beautiful flowers and plants. Several vegan options with a very friendly staff. Had the lentil soup and the Thai burrito with tofu. Both were very good.
Have had breakfast and lunch here. Very good food, nothing fancy but substantial

Wonderful atmosphere, good food, and friendly staff. I've been driving for hours and hadn't eaten since breakfast. Had dinner here and the host had a big smile and was friendly to help. It really made my first visit a great one.
