“Fantabular!!! I was lurking for some tacos. My usual go to place, El Sope, wasn’t open so I decided to give this place a shot. My oh my! You guys I mean it when I say, do not sleep on this place! Try their birria tacos(quesatacos) which are like a mix of quesadilla and a taco. They’re only like $3 a piece. You won’t be disappointed!“

“Great taco shop in Merced. You can ask to have it spicy. Everything tasted good you won’t regret it! Not dry not over spiced and not over salted. Waiting time was fast.
Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options. I haven’t tried it though.“

“For years...I used to go eat every Thursday, at the taco truck at Food Center parking lot... Then one day they were just gone.... Someone just mentioned to me, that these are the same people that used to be at the food center...Tacos were delicious like I remember... Just something about the El pastor taco that didn't taste exactly the same...but still DELICIOUS.... Highly recommend... I don't go to Merced every week anymore... but hopefully I can go back soon just for some of these tacos..Soo good?“

“This is literally my favorite taco truck in Merced. You can't beat hand made corn tortillas or gorditas. My favorite go to order is the chicharonne and chorizo gorditas. The sopes are good too. Heck you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.“

“Chavez Tacos is a hidden gem right off Highway 99, super easy to find near the gas stations. Don’t let the simple location fool you—this place serves up some of the best tacos I’ve had in a long time. The flavors are authentic, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous. It’s the perfect spot for a quick and tasty meal on the go. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!“

“I love this taco truck, they are super kind and very friendly and always prepare food quickly and correctly. I love the cheese enchilada plate as well as their bean and cheese burritos and veggie burritos. It’s a staple for me and my daughter to eat there at least once a week when I don’t feel like cooking.
Vegetarian options: I get bean and cheese burritos, veggie burritos, and cheese enchiladas but I realize the beans might have lard, however you could easily ask for all rice on the enchilada plate or get a cheese quesadilla.
Kid-friendliness: They always give my daughter extra lemons with her burrito (it’s a phase she’s going through lol) but other places have charged me extra for the lemons but they never do and they’re always so nice“

“Okay first off the workers are super friendly and very humble. The food was so good. We got the chicken strips with garlic fries and some corn bread. I’ve never had corn bread like this before. It was delicious. We can’t wait to go back.“
