Le Marais Bakery Reviews
Love the place.
I’ve ordered several times via Williams Sonoma and the products are direct ship from the bakery. Generally I’ve always lost 30 to 40% of the product due to insufficient care in packaging but today I received an order that was shipped in a simple plain cardboard box, not even a shipping container with zero cold pack of any kind at all. Obviously the product had thawed and fully risen long before it reached me and there I could smell the spoiled dough before I opened the box....read full review

Le Marais Bakery is a cozy neighborhood bakery that offers mouth-watering French pastries like Pain Suisse, chocolate croissants, and morning buns. During dinner service, the restaurant features delightful dishes such as chicken and scallops, accompanied by friendly and attentive service. However, there are times when the service can feel rushed or even understaffed, particularly during busy occasions like Valentine's Day. The ambiance remains light and airy, creating a pleasant atmosphere for both day and evening visits. The daytime staff is generally known to be wonderful and welcoming, though recent feedback suggests that some staff may be distracted and not as attentive. The bakery also provides a variety of vegetarian options and kid-friendly choices. With easy wheelchair access, it continues to be a popular spot in Mill Valley for casual daytime treats and dinner outings. Despite some concerns about cleanliness and service, the food, including the French pastries and coffee, is consistently praised, making it a favorite breakfast and brunch destination.
