Absolutely outstanding. I was welcomed with sincere friendliness, clear explanations, and real care. The fish was exceptionally fresh, regional, and incredibly delicate in flavour — easily among the finest I have ever tasted. The ingredients were balanced with genuine craftsmanship, making the bowl both light and deeply satisfying.

Price and quality are perfectly aligned, and the whole experience felt personal rather than transactional. I am truly impressed and will remember this meal for a lifetime.

“The portions were plentiful and delicious, and the clerk was very friendly. The food was very good as it wasn't very salty. Even though I changed the addition several times, he treated me kindly without his face being distorted once. It was so delicious!! suggestion!!“

“Got the bigger size and though it is a bit pricey, the portion is pretty big. I did however take off a star because the quality of the fish wasn’t the best, some of it looked a little off-color compared to the others but the flavors were good and again the size is big. Lots of different sides as well so that helps having a different bite each time“

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside – just a small corner shop. But the food hits way above its weight class.

Got their egg sandwich on a croissant with added ham. Ready in minutes, which was clutch. The croissant was fresh and flaky, the egg and melted cheese were spot-on, but the real standout was their mixed vegetable spread. Whatever they put in there turned a solid breakfast sandwich into something actually memorable.

“This is the only remaining good, food restaurant outlet left in the building. They have fresh fish, fresh ingredients and reasonable prices with no lines, unfortunately. You should change that and go get a great healthy tasty meal from them for round $15“

“Hi City Poke nails that true island flavor! The owner is from Hawaii and brings all the aloha with him — super friendly, down-to-earth, and clearly passionate about sharing good food.

The poke itself? So ono. Fresh, flavorful, and totally legit. You’ll find classic Hawaiian-style fish alongside “mainland” toppings — because, as the owner said, “you gotta give the city what it wants.” But don’t worry, purists — the foundation is all Hawaii.

The spam musubis are all great too (I’ve tried the classic, fried, and spicy). It’s family-owned and operated, which makes me even happier to support them. Perfect for takeout, though I’ll sometimes dine in for lunch (just note there isn’t a ton of seating).“

“Visited in the late afternoon so I can’t speak for how much it can get at lunch or dinner time. It’s been a while since I’ve been here so I forgot you ordered on a card then submitted it to the staff before paying.

My bowl: half white rice, half kelp noodles, cucumber, red onion, jalapeños, spicy tuna, spicy house poke sauce, creamy wasabi, edamame, kimchee, furikake.“

“I enjoy coming here when I need a quick bite. They’re located at Metron movie theaters, downtown SF. I will say their prices are pretty reasonable as their counterparts. The quality is pretty good and it’s been consistently reliable in my experience. They also have a lot of different beverages to complement their poke and sushi burritos. They even have curry! I always enjoy supporting a local, small business. #supportsmallbusiness“

“Very nice place, layed back, steady late lunch crowd, The server Rosario very helpful. The 4 piece shrimp tempura almost a meal in it self. Comes with edamame and a big serving of good Cole slaw. Good Rainbow roll. Very good value for the money. Would come again.“
