Fish In The Box Reviews
Awesome spot in NOPA! The bowls are incredibly good & the portion is huge! Always consistant in service. My family can always depend on a great meal. We always get take out as the dining room is quite small but when I go pick up my take out, it is always full so that says something!
The boxes look cool and the portions are generous. Sadly, I think this is the first time I've struggled to finish some salmon sashimi because some pieces had harder/firmer texture, almost like chicken. I usually don't like chewing sashimi like that, so it's definitely not melt-in-your-mouth fresh type of fish. Order is nicely packed, ordered via doordash.
Quality has gone quite down last ~3 months; fish cuts were quite large, uneven, and halfway cut through.

Fish In The Box is a restaurant known for its fresh and high-quality fish. The menu offers meals like salmon and hamachi, and there's a deluxe box with a unique yuzu truffle version. While the price is higher than other places, customers find it reasonable for the quality. Service can be slow when busy, but the staff is polite. The restaurant has an easy-to-use ordering system with iPads, making it simple to place orders. Customers appreciate the delicious and beautifully presented food, especially the sushi rolls like the Toro Roll and the sushi burritos. The beef potsticker is also highly praised. Many enjoy dining in, though some have experienced disappointment with delivery, citing smaller portions and less freshness. The restaurant offers a variety of bowls, including summer and winter bowls, but recent menu changes have disappointed some customers who preferred the original options with fish, seaweed salad, and edamame. Despite these issues, the owner and staff work hard to ensure customers enjoy their meals. However, there is still a significant amount of plastic waste from dine-in orders, which can lead to overflowing trash cans. Overall, Fish In The Box remains a popular spot for fresh, interesting sushi and fish dishes.
