Food was average-Ravioli undercooked and meat sauce had no flavor. Veal was tough. Service protocol did not meet expected standards. AC unit was blasting at 8pm. Overall it was inconsistent and needs improvement.
Excellent Italian Fare with the freshest ingredients in an atmosphere so pleasant it feels as if you traveled back in time to old North Beach. The staff is very attentive and anticipate every need.
Bring the family and friends for a memorable meal.

Great food, service and dessert! The pizza my friend and I got had one of the best cheese we ever tasted; it was super stretchy as well! The tiramisu was homemade and was super creamy. The bread was crunchy and olive oil was great too! Large pizza for $25, we ate 2 slices each and were full. Not too bad considering some places, they have large size pizzas easily for $30+
No fancy attire to come here. People come here in jeans and t shirt with and without kids

Great traditional Italian restaurant. Classic menu, reasonable prices (for these days), working juke boxes at tables with classic music for the era, takes you back to a simpler time. Warm and friendly employees; diners all seemed relaxed and enjoying. Loved the creamed spinach side though small.

So I have been coming here for YEARS. Last night was a night that might change that. Every SINGLE time we have eaten here they have brought butter with the bread. Last night we didn't get it and were told they no longer provide it. Not even upon request. Had they just owned the fact that they need to cut corners and can no longer afford butter then I would empathize. Instead the RUDE waitor decided to tell us that nobody comes to an Italian restaurant and eats butter with bread. And kept telling us that the oil and balsamic vinegar were just fine. Genuinely no offense intended but I have ALWAYS hated oil and vinegar with bread and have never heard of a restaurant suddenly refusing to provide butter with bread. And I DEFINITELY don't expect my waiter to tell me how to enjoy my damn meal and tell ME what's fine and what's not.
Then I ordered the chicken piccata and was given 3 small piece of chicken that equalled 2 chicken breasts not cutlets because whoever was cooking didn't pound the chicken flat (which is kind of an important step in making the dish). One chicken breast also had a hole in the middle probably because they cut it to check if it was cooked in the middle. And while I love capers, the plate was SWIMMING in them.
Dessert was lovely, and the coffee good, but I don't know of limoncello cake and coffee are enough to keep me coming back with bad service and poorly made food. Especially when the cake comes from a distributor across the bay.

Linguine with clams had no flavor. My wife and I had a continually salt and pepper it.
Our waiter wouldn’t leave us alone until we ordered and then we really didn’t see him again. He never checked on whether the food was to our liking or not.

So Good! O' Sole Mio is our go to place for birthday celebrations. They can accommodate pretty large parties or just you and a date. Good food, good service, good times.

I really like the interior decor of the restaurant, and the service is nice too. But the food was quite confusing. We probably ordered the “wrong dishes,” because none of them were very tasty. My husband ordered a beef entrée, and it was just… weird. The pasta wasn’t impressive, and the pizza tasted like Costco pizza. Maybe ordering the classics would have been a better choice. The dessert was the best part of our meal.
