This is an update in May 2024.When I arrived, I was surprised to find that they were no longer selling dumplings. Instead, they were serving Cantonese food. The selection was limited, but the food was okay to good. I'm not sure why they didn't update the name to reflect the change in menu.I think it's better to order take out :)
Lucky Dumpling, now serving Cantonese cuisine as of May 2024, offers a clean and bright dining experience. The menu features a variety of dishes, including a good beef wrap, flavorful chicken and bamboo with rice, and a delicious clay pot soup. Customers enjoy the Beef Stew over Rice, which is incredibly juicy and tender, with rice cooked to perfection. The Pho Tai Nam Gau broth is rich and flavorful without being too strong, and the shrimp and pork, along with pork and cabbage boiled dumplings, are highly praised for their delicious taste. The staff are very friendly and bilingual, speaking both Vietnamese and English, making diners feel comfortable. While the beef wrap and service are commendable, some may prefer the previous owner's wrap. The restaurant could improve by updating its name to reflect the new menu and highlighting its unique soups. Overall, it provides a nice dining experience, though some dishes may be made from dry or frozen ingredients, and there is room for improvement in authenticity and presentation.
