I have been coming to jalapenos for almost 40 years, starting with their original location in Santa Ana. The Ladera Ranch location never fails me. Consistently the best Mexican food, and friendly service!

Good place for casual dining. I got the meat combo plate and chose shredded beef. It came with rice, beans, and tortillas. It was delicious. The outdoor dining was on a busy sidewalk, but didn't detract from the food or talking with my family/friends.

Jalapeños Mexican Food is hands down one of my favorite spots! Their Bistec Ranchero Burrito is absolutely amazing — packed with flavor, perfectly cooked meat, and just the right level of spice. The sopes are another favorite of mine — fresh, hearty, and so satisfying.
I’ve tried most of the items on their menu, and honestly, everything has been consistently delicious. You can tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every dish. Friendly staff...
