Definitely one of the best places in the area. Certainly worth going back to. Feels like a place in Charlotte that I enjoyed visiting.

The avocado toast is consistently excellent and the coffee is surprisingly good. If you are expecting Foldger's, this ain't it. Every time I've been it's been a nice, light and fruity/floral cup. It's probably the best cup in Modesto if you aren't into the motor oil that still seems to be the top choice elsewhere in the Central Valley.

I used to go here when it was still the concert club the Fat Cat and I've always enjoyed the structure of the building itself. It's always been a comfortable and cozy place to go whether it was for drinks and music or for coffee and business! Great location and friendly people serving!

My mom and I stopped in for an early morning caffeine fix before hitting the road. I enjoyed a cappuccino and my mom got the lumberjack latte. We both enjoyed our beverages, especially since the lumberjack wasn't sickly sweet and had nice amounts of flavor. Since we went early in the morning on a weekday, we were able to get street parking right across the street and were in and out within 5 minutes.

Ummm place is strange little space off to the side of a open area lounge / conference like area. Paid $20 for two of the specialty coffees with an add shot and an order of avocado toast which was a piece of bread cut in half and sprinkled with wayyyy too much salt. Way overpriced! I was tired right afterwards, defiantly not the caffein kick I was looking for. Clean place , with good customer service but I definitely won't seek it out again.

The amount of stars that I'm giving this business would be much higher if it weren't for one glaring issue: the regular, black coffee is awful. I've been to Heart and Soul many times, usually having a latte (which are great) but the last two times I've had black coffee. The first time, the coffee was terrible. I thought that maybe it was a one time occurence, but just today, I went again and the coffee was even worse. It was so sour that I could only take two sips before I had to throw it away. I've had subpar coffee before, but this wasn't just subpar, this tasted so bad, I couldn't be sure the cream wasn't spoilt.
