“This was such a lovely place. The atmosphere was nice with the low lighting, quiet background music, and beautiful art work around. It fits well for a romantic dinner occasion or upscale dinner with friends. The waitress was very attentive, upbeat, nice, and helpful in choosing food options. We ordered the prime steak mushroom pasta as well as the bolognese pasta. Both were exceptionally good! They allowed me to sample different wines until I liked one which was very considerate. The chef went above and beyond! I loved our experience here, I hope to be back soon!“

This place is truly one of Modesto’s best-kept secrets (unfortunately) — and it deserves to be packed every night. We came here for my mom’s birthday dinner with a large group of 18–20 people, and from start to finish, everything was flawless. We ordered a variety of appetizers — the cheese board, Brussels sprouts, lamb meatballs, and almond-crusted chicken skewers — and every single dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Even with a group our size, all the food came out at the same time, hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The kids were served first (huge win for the parents!), and the service throughout the night was nothing short of exceptional. In a time when good service is rare, Burly’s truly goes above and beyond. Every single person at the table was impressed — most had never been there before, and every one of them said they’d be back. And while that birthday dinner was amazing, it wasn’t a one-off. Before moving out of the area, I’d eat lunch at Burly’s about once a week. The food was consistently top notch, never hit-or-miss like so many other places. “If you’re looking for a place that absolutely nails the vibe, the drinks, and the food, The Boardroom is it. This bar delivers on every level, and a huge part of that magic comes from Stephanie, who is hands-down one of the best bartenders you’ll ever meet.

Stephanie doesn’t just make drinks, she *creates* them. Every cocktail is perfectly balanced, flavorful, and clearly made with care and skill. You can tell she knows her craft inside and out, and it shows in every glass she serves. Whether you’re ordering a classic or letting her surprise you, you’re guaranteed something amazing.

“These guys were great. I have celiacs, a gluten allergy, and they baked my hot wings and french fries just so I could eat. I really appreciate that as it's really hard to find good food.That's gluten free. They went out of their way to do this for me. The food was excellent!
