I first wanna say that this is a wonderful hotel and my partner, and I had a great time. However, the one thing I do want to say, and whether or not you believe in it is entirely up to you, but this hotel is extremely, extremely haunted. Never in my life have I’ve been in a place with so much paranormal activity. During the day, I certainly felt the presence in the bathroom and didn’t want to be alone, but I just kind of choked it up to being in a new place and didn’t think much of it. We stayed in the room that used to belong to the owner and we found out later during dinner that he had actually shot himself in that same room. Later that night, we heard footsteps running up and down the hall for hours, and I could feel a presence inside of the room directly in front of me in the bed. I will have to say, I’m generally not a believer of paranormal activity at all so I don’t want this to come off the wrong way, but I was absolutely terrified and probably only got 30 minutes of sleep the entire night.
We had a lovely night at the hotel, but you should be forewarn, you will definitely be experiencing something paranormal if you stay here

The food was amazing. Please support this restaurant! That was one of the best meals of my life and I got to eat it with my dog chilling under the table.

Requested a reservation. Received a confirmation via email. Arrived at the hotel and it’s locked up tight. Nobody around. Apparently closed.

Since the newest owners took over the food has been great. So good to see good food back at the ledger. Bar had a great diverse selection of beers on tap. Staff was friendly. We had the ledger burger and fries, patty melt with garlic fries and fried pickles; all great!

After almost 2 years returned to the Leger for a date night with my wife. Now, the new owners and the Management and Chef are what this town has needed to revive this treasure of a hotel and restaurant. The chef is a culinary dreamer and achiever who seems to be on the path of culinary enlightenment at the Hotel. All courses were layered with a passion and love for food that the Leger has never seen before. I loved the old chefs but they were armature at best of home BBQ kings. Johnathan is a Chef that has the gift that 99% of chefs wish they had. I recommend setting a reservation for a private dinner for 2 and let them take the wheel to create an experience, not just some dinner. Last night was a full circle moment that could have gone horribly wrong, but, not one thing can be complained about nor changed. A perfect evening and there will be more to come.

Wow what a nice surprise. My friend knew of h the is restaurant but has new owners and they have really outdone themselves. The restaurant was built in 1851 and has all the same wood stained glass and furniture. The real winner is the food. The service and business is run by the owners and it shows because they care about you. The new chef made us some burgers that were out of this world full of flavor fresh veggies great fries and so fresh. Highly recommend

The most iconic building in Moke, newly renovated yet it maintains its 1800s charm. The drinks at the bar are priced well, the bartender was courteous, and we were offered the food menu and given suggestions.I will be back.Walkability: Smack dab center of Moke townFood & drinks: Saloon and inn.
