“Wow! We just happened into Renegade today, and I am so glad we did. The patio was super cute, and very dog friendly. I was also so excited to see how many good gluten free options there were...and they actually tasted good! Their wines are equally as delicious...my favorites were the Pinotage, Tempranillo, and Mixed Breed Red. The service was awesome, and everyone is super friendly. We will definitely be back on our next trip!”
“Stopped in for breakfast & its was super tasty! Service was great, the restaurant is dated but its cute, lots of people coming in, looks like locals, we are visiting in Ione”
“I wish they'd open back up sooner! Buddy o' mine & I went the other day to have a drink and a burger and were told by some locals it might be a while before re-opening... Hotel looks absolutely stunning from the outside though”
“High end eating in a small town of wine country. Would happily return if in the area. Full cocktail menu. Many local wines. Friendly staff. I got the pork chop which I normally wouldn't get out, but it was so delicious. Great mustard seasoning with baked apples on top with a plate of spaetzle. Great after a day of wine tasting to refuel.”
“Family visits here often. When I come to visit we always stop here. Food and service is great. Price reasonable. Wheelchair accessible. Kid friendly. Everyone has a different dish and all very good. 2 & 3 year olds ate a little of everyones.”
“This place is a hidden gem. They have breakfast and let me tell you it was amazing. The staff was so friendly. I met the owner and his wife l. They are such a nice couple. This place is a nice boutique hotel with beautiful decor. My wife and I are planning to stay here. Please check out the local shop and wine bars.Walkability: There are local shops restaurants and wine bars near the hotel.Noteworthy details: Cute quiet and this is a historic building with a ton of character.”
“The food and the service was excellent. The burgers we had were just outstanding if you happen to be ever up in Amador city this is the place to stop at. Chris is the guy who makes the burgers and he is a rockstar on the grill.”
“Amazing find, great place to stumble upon. Classy and comfortable. The tap selection was impressive for a brewery located in the smallest town in California. Pop. 200”
“This is great homemade ice cream, but you have to be prepared to spend a bit, because all that homemade isn't cheap!! It's so yummy, but pretty expensive.”
“We had the turkey sandwich. I would say this was one of the best turkey sandwich’s that I have eaten. We are excited about going back and trying more of there backed goods.”
“I went here for the first time last week & the food is CRAZY GOOD! I had a BBQ Brisket sandwich with my first time trying fried pickles. They both were super yummy! The two people working there, were super polite, very informative & helpful. The serving sizes are great & the sandwich had plenty of meat in it. My friend & I split the order. Afterwards, we were very full. So much so, that we skipped dinner! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going here. Great job Crazy Eddie! We will be back!”
“Favorite bubble bar ever. They have a great selection of sparkling wines and beers. It is kinda cold and loud, but it's not the type of place to spend a long time. It's a pop in spot that's a must visit whenever you're in Sutter Creek.”
“considering the place updated, or fancy and painted in horrible colors the food was surprisingly amazing. Wasn't fond of having to stand in line to order and pay before getting served and then wait to be seated, very strange way of doing things, but the food was amazing...”
“Absolutely delicious, mouth watering burger with good fries. tastes better than proper home cooking - These people are skilled at their craft and I think I've found my new favorite burger joint.”
“This is a great hidden gem!! The food is outstanding, the service is spectacular and the setting is blissful!! Even in the winter, the covered back porch is super comfortable!!”
“The best breakfast burrito I've had ever. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very homey. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm back to Pine Grove.”
“This is my second time coming to this establishment and each time has been great! Grew up eating a lot of pho and going to a bunch of different pho locations so this place is legit. The owner used to own and manage a pho restaurant in the Sacramento area but retired and closed it down. He is now out of retirement and running this restaurant now. This time around, we ordered the rare steak and beef ball pho, fried egg rolls, and crispy squid. All items came out fast and were all hot and tasty. The pho here always hits the spot - the broth is flavorful and clean. The location is prime as it is in the Safeway plaza so tons of parking, gas station near by, and other restaurants in the vicinity. Inside is clean and the service was great! I will say, this place is a little pricy for pho compared to other pho restaurants but it is still worth the pay since this is the only pho joint in Amador County.”
“This place is so great! The salad bar was generous with a great variety of toppings and the gluten free pizza was tasty but the axe throwing was the highlight. My husband took to it right away but I couldn't get the hang of it and the owner took time to give me pointers which immediately made it way fun. Next time we are in Jackson, we will definitely be back.”
“I grew up coming to Teresa's with my parents and sister about once every few years, so coming in the week or two before Christmas was like walking down memory lane. Decorated for the holidays, it felt even warmer and cozier than I remember. My guy had never been before, and it was the perfect spot to stop in for an early dinner after day tripping in Jackson. Just as I remembered, the bread and soup were delectable to start, as were the generous salad portions - I can't rave enough about the toppings and dressing! For my main entree, I ordered the chicken piccata, and he chose the fettuccine Alfredo. By the time they arrived, we were nearly full from the bread, soup and salad, but still managed to push through ;) We "settled" for sharing dessert - walnut pie - because it felt criminal to leave without something sweet to top it all off. 10/10 would recommend this classic, unpretentious restaurant if you're craving great Italian home cooking. So happy to see that this local business has stood the test of time; check out their family history on the menu or ask your server! Bonus tip - if you're an animal lover, make sure to keep your eye out for the restaurant's unofficial mascot, a friendly neighborhood cat that was lounging on the porch outside when we got there and was particularly friendly.”
“I love Good Friends. We are regulars and have been pleased every time. The people and service are the best. Everyone is very friendly and it makes for a happier meal. Every once in a while, I'll get a togo plate or a soup togo. It's so convenient. The atmosphere is fun and friendly. I'm restricted with some dietary issues, but I can always find some yummy items that make my tummy smile.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm using a walker now and there's plenty of room to get through the aisles.”
“We last minute asked if they could make gluten free cupcakes for a baby shower, like mandrakes from a movie we love. Not only did she say yes, but they were really good. (Only 1 person is gluten free) Everyone loved them. And the frosting on them was one of the best we've ever had. We will be coming back to them!”
“Top notch establishment in all regards! A round of applause to the Chef and kitchen team, the menu options are broad yet cohesive and the execution of the food is exquisite! We enjoyed every single item from the soup of the day to the entrees to the delectable desserts! The atmosphere is classy in a casual way, feel free to dress up or just be comfortable. They have a fun bar area with a TV and plenty of great bourbon and other spirits, the menu of cocktails is a great mix of custom, classic & creative. And their dining area includes a lovely fireplace, mountain style architecture with distressed brick, love it!Service is fast, friendly and enjoyable, from the hostess, to the servers to the bar tenders, great all around!!”
“I wrote a review before but had to write another to share how amazing this place is! If you're driving through, please go try!Wrenn always comes up with new and tasty creative drinks for us to try! The new Coconut Lavender Dark Mocha was so yummy! I recommend giving it a try one day!And I gotta say I've tried a decent amount of dirty chais. Just recently was out of town and tried a new place....NOTHING compares to the ones you'll get here. The spicy chai they use, the rich dark Espresso, and the love that gets put into every drink is worth every penny! The drinks and Wrenns energy will just brighten your day! ”
“I'm a food truck connoisseur / lover & I can't believe we didn't start coming here sooner!! Now we always stop by at LEAST once a week but we often eat there 2 or 3 times a week!!Everything on the menu is amazing, but we both tend to stick to our regular order most of the time! I get 2 super chicken tacos (extra spicy!) & Keary gets a super chicken burrito. It's delicious, always the perfect amount of food (never too full but always satisfied) & you can't beat the price! Our usual is $14!Service is friendly, fast & efficient (they remembered us like the 3rd time we went there & if you call your order in first there's no wait - if not there's usu a line). There's plenty of parking & they're just off of Hwy 88 in Pine Grove, so it's a convenient stop to make on the way back from Jackson.Hands down one of the BEST trucks I've EVER been to! If you're heading up to South Lake Tahoe it's definitely worth a stop!”
“My favorite is the chicken marsala. This time we got the short ribs which were delicious with creamy polenta and honey ? carrots. Yum! The fried calamari was disappointing, definitely not as good as last time (last time they were great) seemed like we got more breading than actual calamari and the sauces weren't as good either.Could have just been an off night.. We will definitely go back because the service is always excellent and good food, and it's cheerful.”
“I've been going to this awesome coffee shop since they first opened. First class all the way. Cozy, inviting atmosphere. Always greeted with a smile and a hello! The sausage, egg and cheese breakfast burrito is so good. Great brunch type selection of goodies. Coffee selection is good and yummy.”
“I've gone in a couple times recently and I have to say Raquel is AMAZING! She's the reason I go back, her service and energy is perfect. She has a lot of ideas for the place and I think she will continue to do great.”
“As good as it gets in a one horse town. Real beef tacos. Fish tacos. Orchata. All on hit.Vegetarian options: Veggie burrito whole beans. Bean tostada. Veggie fajitas.”
“This is my daughter's favorite place to get her drinks. The staff is always super nice and welcoming. Love their different specials they have each month. Support your local small businesses!!”
“Our class went on a field trip to Mike Hill for California History Day and I stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe!!! Amazing people and amazing coffee and pizza bagel!!!! I highly recommend if you are in the area to pay them a visit!!!! It’s right next to the library!!!!”
