“I’ve been to countless pollo locos this is the only location that when you ask for red sauce they give you red sauce unlike every other location that gives you pico de gallo when you ask for red sauce. That being said I tried the habanero chickens. Eh. It’s alright. And they gave me old dry chicken despite it being 1pm thinking I wouldn’t notice because they lather up the chicken with the habanero sauce. But definitely will visit this location more often“

Parking: There’s plenty of parking when you can’t find street parking go to the back of steel craft there’s parking lot there and also plenty of parking by City Library of course a little walk but it’s worth it! There’s also parking across the street behind the business there too there’s another parking lot ?️ like I said just a little walk but definitely worth enjoying what Bellflower has to offer with all it’s restaurants so close by.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of food options for kiddos and space to walk or dance to music ? plus which kiddo doesn’t like fries especially crinkle cut fries and burgers

Wheelchair accessibility: I have a walker and I was able to get around comfortably and safely around while ordering my food and picking it up when ready and sitting while enjoying the band and people dancing. Bathrooms are accessible too!“

On to the food - Gourmet Carribean is a must try! the oxtails, jerk chicken, curry chicken, chick peas and the Friday special, Jerk Salmon. Everything I've tried is delicious. There's a small baker on the other side and I love their Ube cookies! I Highly recommend visiting Blossom Market. Located on the San Gabriel Mission Properties.“

At first I thought the place was sketchy at first but most good places do lol Franchise chicken places hardly have any meat on their chicken and the grocery stores always make their chicken too salty. TOTALLY DIFFERENT GAME HERE! Went here one day for a chicken plate and the pieces had plenty of meat, hardly greasy, lightly seasoned, and overall tasted like good ol home cooking 🤤. Just came here again to try their fish and shrimp and again, it was excellent. Most fish and shrimp places drown their fish in thick bread-like batter that makes you feel sick in a few bites. Here however, the fish and shrimp are fried in a seasoned thin peppery flour mix, basically a thin batter 🤤. I don't think I can go anywhere else for fried chicken and fish. JUST BE SURE TO AIR OUT THE FOOD TO LET IT COOL DOWN WHEN YOU GET IT!! YES! ITS THAT FRESH! AND THAT GOOD!“

The sides are incredible too. The rice has a corn finish to it with perfect taste, no salt needed as it’s seasoned perfectly. I’m not a fan of beans but they’re very similar to my grandmothers (they’re not fried beans). The potato salad is addicting too, it’s really my guilty pleasure and the last thing we run out off. “My friend told me this is very popular fried chicken place. Only two locations in LA. So we went to try it last night.
We ordered spicy and non-spicy chicken. It’s very juicy and crispy which everyone loves. But you can tell the oil has been fried for long time already. The chicken skin tastes very oily and even a little bit bitter, I have to take off all the skin for kids.
Hope the owner can change the oil, then definitely makes the fried chicken taste better.“

“When a restaurant does one thing and really hones in and masters their craft, the result speaks for itself. This place does chicken supremely well because that is all they do. The value of the meals is great. You can choose between quarter, half, or whole chicken with tortillas and sides. The chicken is very tasty and juicy, packed with flavor and perfectly made. The sides are also nice. There are some tables but they mainly do takeout. The staff are very friendly and treat you like family.“

Someone said they barely gave any cheese over the fries? My observation was that they meticulously layered the cheese, so that it wasn't just a giant slab on top with nothing on the bottom. I've never been to any other restaurant that goes through that level of detail to make sure the right amount of cheese is evenly distributed across the fries like that!
