“Last year I spent three months in Europe, seeking out the best frite shops in Belgium and the Netherlands, and had fries and fried potatoes at places that were highly rated specifically for their fries in France, Spain, etc. Altogether, I noted 24 different restaurants, mostly in Belgium and the Netherlands, that we ate at specifically because they were supposed to be the best place for fries in their city. You would assume we'd had the world's best fries at one of those places, right?

I've eaten at wurstküche maybe a dozen times. Each of those times (except for maybe once or twice) the fries have been better than anything we had in Europe. No lie. I've tried to replicate it at home, using every method imaginable...different fats, par-boiled, par-fried, chilled, rinsed, blanched this way and that. I love fries. I've never hit the mark. I don't know what wizardry is at play here, but this wurstküche location has the best fries I've ever had. And that's really saying something. The sausage and beer are okay too.“

“Bathroom was clean and smelled good despite the frequent traffic. I have never had anything but pastramis and fries from the hat but the turkey burger was recommended by my aunt.

I am not a fan of turkey or turkey burgers but I tried it anyway. It was delicious and juicy. Probably the best burger I’ve had all year.“

“We’ve always been big Dog Haus fans. This location was always a bummer though with one infamous staff member who consistently had zero customer service skills. I left some poor feedback after a particularly awful experience earlier this year. Months later, I got a message that that individual was no longer with DH, taking accountability for the situation, and offering us a free meal for our trouble. And they came through on the promise! Really impressive customer service and appreciated by our family. The Hill location is officially back in the rotation!“

Why go to a restaurant or fast food joint and pay overpriced food, when you can stop by get some carnitas, burritos, chillaquiles, torta, etc well served, great taste and a good price. “Another Korean rice dog place in Arcadia, this time at the mall's food court!

While also picking up food at the other spots, I got a squid ink mozza and hot dog. Not all Korean rice dog spots have squid ink so I was excited to try this one. I asked what sauce is recommended with it and was told sweet chili sauce. I got that and also had it sprinkled with sugar (never say no to sugar on a Korean rice dog, it makes a difference!). Took it home to eat with the other things I ordered in the food court and enjoyed my quick and easy dinner at home. Good amount of melty mozzarella cheese with the hot dog.

“Cant speak for the hot dogs but the tacos, burritos, quesadillas and especially the tortas are EXCELLENT. Friendly workers and you can tell from the lunch crowds that they’re legit when local workers come to eat here regularly. The torta comes with well buttered and roasted bread with cheese melted down on the griddle and there’s a lot of meat which is a key for me cuz I don’t like tortas with pathetic amounts of meat. Just had their flautas today, delicious.

Parking: Metered parking but you can park at one of the many empty ones nearby and won’t get ticketed if you’re just grabbing food“

“Shoutout to the employees at Five Guys Pasadena on Lake. Just wanted to praise the employees for being the upstanding and professional people they are. Dropped my wallet full of cash there last night. Went home and didn’t realize til this morning that I didn’t have it in my pocket… Long story short, they found it in the dining area, locked it up overnight,and it was there safe and sound when I called the next morning. Praise God, and praise the young lady who found it and kept it safe. I’m certainly no influencer, but If you are in Pasadena and nearby, please consider giving them some business. “Interesting experience. Might be our new hotpot place to go. The restaurant look great. Love the Japanese fast food concept. Not sure about the Japanese pop music, bit didn't bother us. Servers very nice and attentive but didn't have same taste (recomendations). We ordered the spicy tonkatsu and the another 3rd infantry division spicy soup, and the octopus balls. The food is great. Love the individual hotpot. Yet, I prefer more traditional hotpot without hotdogs, cheese, and spam. I will never order that 3rd infantry division soup, LoL. But definitely the tonkotsu one. I recomend this place.“
