Best soufflé pancakes in town! Come and get em!

Extremely short staff. 45 mins to get seated. With 5 tables available. But not clean. Another 40 mins to order. And another 30 mins for the food to be served. Another 20 mins to get the check. I feel so bad for the server. Only one server and he needs to be the host, the barrister and the busboy

Really yummy, everything is reasonably priced especially for such a premium product. When I go during the mornings there’s plenty of street parking right in front of the restaurant.

Waited 40 minutes for a table and then 30 minutes for pancakes which would have been fine if the pancakes had ever arrived. Was told my order got delivered to a different table and that I could wait another 30 minutes to get my pancakes. Probably won't try again

Super nice. Let me use bathroom first (emergency lol) before I even sat down. Delicious pancakes I never had before elsewhere.

Just had the most incredible meal here and I’m still thinking about it hours later. If you’ve never had real soufflé pancakes, you need to drop everything and get here ASAP. This place is doing something absolutely magical with food.

We started with their crème brûlée soufflé pancake and I literally cannot get over how amazing it was. They melt in your mouth the second you take a bite. The caramelized sugar top was absolutely perfect and provided this incredible textural contrast.

The beef cheesy gyudon was such a pleasant surprise! I didn’t expect the savory options to be this incredible, but wow, they really knocked it out of the park. The beef was so tender and well-seasoned, and the melted cheese created this perfect umami-rich experience that paired surprisingly well with the restaurant’s light, airy vibe. It’s the kind of dish that makes you realize how versatile great cooking can be.

We also grabbed some premium soufflé pancakes to-go because we couldn’t resist, and we ordered the A4 Wagyu burger that uses a pancake as the bun - how creative is that?! I’m practically bouncing with anticipation to try both of these tomorrow morning. If they’re anything like what we experienced in the restaurant, breakfast is going to be absolutely epic.

Can we talk about the hojicha iced coffee for a second? This drink was absolutely phenomenal! The roasted tea’s nutty, caramel-like notes created such a unique and refreshing coffee experience. It was the perfect complement to both the sweet and savory dishes and honestly just elevated the entire meal.

One important heads up - there’s a 20-30 minute wait for the soufflé pancakes since they’re made fresh to order, but trust me when I say it’s SO worth every single minute. I would give a 4 out of 5 for the wait time for the soufflé pancakes. I wish that the servers would have let us know that you had to wait for this item.

This place has seriously mastered the art of creating joy through food. The attention to detail is incredible and every single thing we tried exceeded my already high expectations. I’m already planning my next visit and probably the one after that too!

Wow — I honestly cannot begin to express how incredible this restaurant is! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the warm, attentive, and genuinely kind service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their energy truly set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the hospitality stands out just as much as the food — but here, both are exceptional.

Now, let’s talk about the food. Mind. Blown. I’ve tried two of their soufflé pancake flavors so far — the Crème Brûlée and the Chocolate Hazelnut — and I genuinely can’t choose a favorite. They were both absolute perfection: light, fluffy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I’m honestly considering ordering both next time because there’s no way I can pick just one. Even our server admitted he couldn’t choose a favorite because everything is that good — which just gives me an excuse to come back and try more.

What makes it even more special is that all their ingredients are imported from Japan, so you’re getting truly authentic, high-quality flavors in every bite.

And don’t even get me started on the entrees — every dish we tried was a hit. The menu is full of unique, creative offerings that are a joy to explore. Whether you’re trying something completely new or sticking to something more familiar, you really can’t go wrong. Every bite was delicious and thoughtfully crafted.

This place is a total gem. I’m already counting down the days until I can go back and keep working my way through the menu. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers top-tier food, exceptional service, and an overall incredible dining experience — this is it.

This place used to be a tea place that switched, and I came here by mistake. However, I gave the latte a try. It wasn't tasty at all and it cost $7, the wait is insane, over 20 minutes that I did not even get the food. There is limited street parking, but there is a big parking garage underground for this Plaza area. Overall, disappointing experience.

I can never have regular pancakes after visiting Gram Cafe.
They are known for their Japanese suffle pancakes but they serve some amazing dishes. Like this Wagyu Curry, featuring tender beef and a rich poached egg.
And this Chicken Karaage Salad with perfectly seasoned crispy chicken and a refreshing dressing.
But the real star of the show are the shuffle pancakes. They have mastered this unique recipe that creates the most pillowy, soft and airy. They have different toppings, we chose the original and mango. The original one was just fantastic. and the mango was so fresh, they use real mango chunks and the mango syrup was not overly sweet. It was perfectly balanced.
We finished off with something very unique which was a matcha adffogato and it was so rich, velvety and the matcha was so vibrant. And the crushed pistachios on top just elevated it so much.
Gram Café is where comfort and flavor come together in the most delicious way possible.

One of the greatest joys in life is exploring delicious food with my daughter.

This time, we went to Gram Cafe in Monterey Park and ordered the best takoyaki (the best I’ve ever had!), wagyu beef curry, chicken karrage curry, and hazelnut chocolate soufflé. Everything was so delicious, and the service was excellent as well! It was such a wonderful dinner! ?

The food was good and the service was okay. The novelty pancakes were not anything exciting.
