Glad to discover another nice Taiwanese restaurant around LA. Very hospital staff. The beef noodle soup is certainly their specialty - unique thick al dente noodles, very tender tendons (chunks of beef not so much), interesting broth with herbal accents. Impressed by their shrimp & pork dumplings - the pork portion was probably fulfilled by the filing of XLB on the menu, which made the dumplings very pleasantly juicy; just wished the wrapper were thinner. We got the pan fried buns (10/10) very juicy, pan fried pork and chive dumplings (8/10) tasty & juicy but could be more flavorful, pork XLB (3/10) not flavorful nor much soup, bok choy (7/10) it was fine but kinda greasy. I'd love to try noodles next time. I wish they had more drink choices like soy milk. Also would be nice to have some cold dish like a cucumber salad or something. Went on a Sunday afternoon and was seated quickly but then there were a lot of ppl lined...
Great small spot next to a grocery store. The spicy beef noodle soup is fantastic. The fried calamari is spicier than you think it will be. Be sure to get a big mug of their tea or milk tea.
