Great restaurant! Wonderful cocktails and wine list. Superb salad bar. Entrees were spectacular, and nobody in our party of eight left anything on their plate. Truly a memorable experience. Can't wait to go back!
The Chart House is a Monterey restaurant with a spectacular view, set right above the water. If you request a window table, you can often see otters and sea lions swimming down below! I would describe it as "traditional upscale," meaning that it feels fancy and has a special-occasion feel, but there are some inconsistencies with quality and value. In general the menu is pretty pricey, but it also has some good variety of both steak and seafood. Our steak, soup, and baked...
Our reservation was for 6:00 p.m. and we had several families sitting around us. If you want a more quieter dining experience I would suggestion coming a little later to avoid the crying babies. The view was amazing and the food and salad bar were very nice. Our waitress was just okay, no extras for our celebration (as we heard from other tables). A big thank you to the hostess that gave us a nice seat by the window.
