We really liked our vegan (because they sounded good) main courses--they were truly creative.
Service is my top priority when dining out, and Rachel was absolutely phenomenal. My husband and I had an incredible experience thanks to her attentiveness and warmth. She anticipated our needs before we even voiced them. At times, it truly felt like she could read our minds! Despite being a fine dining experience, the evening never felt pretentious or overly formal. We felt like the experience was just filled with genuine hospitality paired with impeccable service and delicious food. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. Teagan welcomed us with a friendly smile and escorted us to our window-side table, which offered a stunning ocean view. Each table having its own “private” window made the atmosphere even more special. Throughout the evening, Rachel, Hannah, and Jesus guided us through each course, describing every dish in thoughtful detail and inviting questions. Rachel went above and beyond by asking for our feedback at the end and even shared some wonderful local recommendations since we're visiting the area. The food itself was exceptional. Every course was beautifully curated, with playful contrasts in texture and flavor. The pacing between courses was perfect. We had enough time to savor each dish, enjoy our conversation, and never feel rushed. Best of all, we left feeling not just satisfied, but also FULL. We can't recommend Coastal Kitchen enough.
Delicious food that was imaginatively prepared. Fabulous service and a beautiful room. A great place for a special occasion or just to treat yourself
Overall my experience was fantastic. First, I made a special request before dinner, as I was a solo-diner, and the team made the hostess made perfect accommodation, thank you. Second, this was a special dinner for me and I selected the tasting menu with wine pairing. The wine-pairing was spot on. The whole team was super attentive, yet not invasive and I really appreciated them allowing me to relax and enjoy my meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Spent our 14th anniversary dinner here, and it was a great dinner. Everything was delicious...my only complaint is that the wife was full by the 4th course!
An expansive view of Monterey bay in a quiet an elegant setting. The food was so good, as were the wines we enjoyed with it. Jesus and Sarah are highly recommended.
Still getting over the sticker shock of inflation these days, but the view (we went early to see the sailing race) was fantastic, and the food beautifully prepared with some very special touches like the dark-rimmed avocados on the salad. We don't drink so we missed the wine pairings, but the neighboring table was very happy. The service was excellent and they even ordered a rainbow for our anniversary.
My wife and I had an absolutely amazing dinner at Coastal Kitchen. The view of the bay from our table just made the experience more memorable. The staff was exceptional as was our meal. Fine dining at its best.
Excellent dining experience. Had the tasting menu and associated wine flight. Food preparation and presentation were right on as were the wines selected for each dish. Wait staff was professional and highly attentive. Beautiful room with wall to wall windows providing views overlooking Monterey Bay. If you are looking for a higher end dinning experience I would recommend Coastal Kitchen
Beautiful presentations on the 5 course tasting menu. Wine pairing fantastic. Expensive. Some courses hit high marks, a couple were good but not great.

We went here for our Anniversary and it was worth it. They gave us a wonderful table. The staff was great and all of the food was amazing and delicious. It was well worth an adult night out, and we would highly recommend it.
Service was impeccable, the food was not only visually stunning the flavors were delicious!
Excellent service all around. Even the manager, Conrad, spent time talking to us about the chef"s and management's goals for the restaurant, It was an extremely personalized experience.
The five course tasting menu was world class and the wine pairing was eclectic and stunning showing the depth of the collection. We watched the sea lions and otters in the floating sea weed just outside the windows in the dining room. Highly recommend giving this dining adventure a try.
First thing I'll say is the service was outstanding. Very friendly staff that worked well as a team and checked on us regularly. The view was so great. They provided binoculars and we were able to watch seals swimming around pretty close to shore. The food was all over the place. We did the 3 course prefixed menu. The fettuccine was amazing as a first course. The wagyu steak was overcooked by a lot. Asked for medium rare and it was medium well. And it wasn't an outlier because both of our steaks were overcooked in the same way. With that being said, they were still pretty tender and flavorful. The dessert was a miss as well. The chocolate cake was as dense as a brick, could barely get the fork through it. And the texture of the panna cotta was grainy and lacked flavor. Nothing was bad just not up to the standard for how much money we spent.
