When I was in Belgium, I would go to the local train station and order one of these yummy liège waffles pretty much every day. I am so happy to have found these here in Monterey! They are so good!
This is what you hope to find when strolling around. Such a good business idea. The waffles are just so wonderful. They're not your everyday waffles. They're special. Everyone who comes to cannery row needs to come here and get a box of waffles. I can't think of anything better. We need more places like this here. Much respect to whoever these waffle makers are.

Was craving a liege waffle for months and a quick Yelp search this morning brought me to L'Aubette. Luckily today was a Sunday, because that's the only day they're open! I parked on Lighthouse (which is a couple blocks away) in order to avoid the metered parking fee near Cannery Row.It's a cute bakery on the corner of Drake. You order and pay outside on the porch.
